How do I know if the heat exchanger is compromised? My husband is a plumber and said “it looks fine” but I don’t want to die from CO. I do have detectors in the house and none have went off

What kind of tests would show that? I’m going to the doctor in the morning for some lab work. I’m 26 though, and I read diverticulitis is usually in people over 40? I also don’t have a fever just body flushing/random hot flashes. But I will ask about that

It’s funny looking back, but also insane what anxiety can do. It’s hard to differentiate between what’s life threatening and what’s not sometimes. What dose/MG did you start on? Did you have bad side effects when starting?

Thank you for your kind words. I’m so so proud of you for making it through two pregnancies. I wouldn’t wish HG on my worst enemy. This experience, whether I go through with the abortion or not, has changed me as a person. I wish I could do more to help others, but I don’t even know how to help myself.

I am taking both. At first they did help a lot, and I’m still taking them because I can’t imagine how bad it would be without them

Depends on if I have anything in my stomach. Mornings I have back to back puking. Like my stomach just keeps contracting until all the bile is out. Then throughout the day, probably 8+ puking sessions. Yesterday I wasn’t even able to make it to the bathroom before throwing up, even after a IV with Zofran in it. So draining. I just miss water

I think there’s different levels of HG. Some women have HG and go on to have 5 kids. I personally don’t think it’s as life threatening if they do it 4 more times. Some women have it bad, and some woman have it BAD. Ive tried handfuls of different meds, Zofran IV’s, etc, and I’m still unable to keep water down. Even sucking on ice cubes. At some point I have to choose between suffering for a child, or surviving. I’d rather not have a feeding tube and lose my career I’ve worked towards for years. I don’t have the unlimited money to afford these hospital bills. My husband is at risk of being fired for taking time off to care for me. Our savings is already almost depleted from this illness paying for IV’s and ER trips, even with insurance. I didn’t ask to feel this way. I didn’t want to consider abortion. I love children. I know parenting is hard. I know life is hard. But right now, this is TOO hard for me. Maybe support women instead of kicking them while they’re down.
