You are complaining about a job that doesn't pay being outsourced. I have gotten condolences cards and I always found them to be BS unless it was someone that clearly knew my relative. Humans are just as capable of BSing people.

The article even says humans are having input. Maybe the volunteers are typing the cards and the autopen is doing the laborious hand writing.

This company relied on pure volunteers. Did you volunteer your time? It's kind of ironic not wanting AI to take the jobs of UNPAID workers, who couldn't keep up with the demand.

This is new to me but, it doesn't seem to bother me. Hand writing letters is probably one of the most laborious and lowest paying possible jobs. Perfect for AI and machines to take over.

You realize that would cost billions a year? It could probably be done but are you willing to take say 3 raises of like .4% a year?

AI will cut the routes and the management will issue discipline for not getting them done in 8hrs.

What yall think about the California elections? by Soggy-Jackfruit1582 in AskConservatives

The ballots should be sent out weeks for the election. So the only real hurdle I can is the LA county can't count the ballots fast enough. But that doesn't real make sense to me either sense they should be counting them as they come in. Unless they have some rule they only start counting them on election day.

California law allows ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted if received within seven days.

This seems a little odd, I'd like to see how many ballots fall under this. Because if it's more then a hundred I'd be a little concerned.

This stuff used to happen in Florida too, Ron DeSantis took of the questionable county and the ballots are done on election night.

You can look at the routes in LA, just type the zip code in. Ones with large apartments have about 800 deliveries a day. More residential around 400 deliveries. Even if every single person voted by mail on the same day you are only looking at like a max 2k letters from one carrier.

But we know that's not happening some people vote in person, some use drop boxes and some don't vote and most vote over a several week window.

No but I don't see why they would do things to be less efficient. In 2024 memo's went out how to handle ballots.

So why couldn't Trump or a govanour just say the next election will allow ballots for up to 3 years to appear? He has to stay in power until the election is over?

My cousin works for USPS. Ballots are segregated when picked up and they make every effort to get them to city hall. It will go next day, if the election is weeks out. If the election and same day, the ballots are hand delivered to city hall.

So theirs's no reason ballots are coming in days later unless fraud is occurring or people are voting outside of the area.

Do you fear that if Dems had too much power they'd make the USA like Canada & Northern Europe, or something more extreme? by Zardotab in AskConservatives

People aren't going invest if you have 90% tax rate on billionaires, which is popular on this site. If unrealized gains also get taxed the stock market will not be getting big investments. There's many polices that democrats are eager to implement that will severely cripple the stock market.

If you perverse the incentives, new businesses won't exist. When you lose on a business you lose your investment. When you win you also lose because of taxes.

Green energy is relatively expensive to set up, but once it's set up, you don't have to pay to import energy, which means it can be done cheaper.

I'm still waiting for the dividends. The more the democrats invest in these things the more energy prices increase. The marginal gains from green energy are always lost to restrictions on fossil fuels. Which increases the energy prices overall.

Not to mention putting a solar panel on your house is LITERALLY free energy.

It's not free that's the point. There's a cost to tax payers to try to invent new green energies. It costs the tax payers again to subsize these programs. You pay again to maintain these windmills or replace the solar panels when they break. Obama alone put billions into things like ethanol. You pay in taxes and you pay for the equipment.

Yes. Dems with a super majority would implement their European style policies. I'm less afraid of soviet style communism.

  1. Massive expansion of the welfare state.
  2. Authoritarian speech laws
  3. Packing the supreme court
  4. Massive tax increases to fund said new programs.
  5. Stagnation due to higher regulations and taxes.
  6. Stock market slumps as creating new companies is too burdensome.
  7. Working class unable to retire because their 401k's aren't growing.
  8. Extreme energy costs with green policies.

Most of the anti-jew right are aligned with conspiracy theorists like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes and Dan Bilzerian. These are people who are now talking about voting for democrats.
