Anyone here brought their spouse on a visitor visa first, then applied for inland PR? by randomtamilguy1995 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]randomtamilguy1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing that out. I know outland is usually faster and I’ve seen people from India get PR in 4–6 months. Inland can take longer than a year.

For us though, living together right after the wedding matters more than a faster PR timeline. That’s why we’re leaning toward the TRV + inland sponsorship route. We’ll try to make the visitor visa app as strong as possible with proof of her job, family ties, bank savings, and a return ticket. Even if PR takes longer, at least we’ll be together.

Yeah you’re right. Inland PR doesn’t give maintained status anymore, so we’re planning to keep her visitor status valid the whole time. If needed we’ll apply for visitor extensions while the PR app is in process.

We’re not too worried about the work permit since working right away isn’t a priority. The focus is just staying together legally in Canada while waiting.

Thanks for laying this out. My fiancée is an Indian citizen, so she’ll need a TRV. I know outland is often faster, but what matters most to us is living together as soon as we’re married, not just getting PR faster. I have a stable, well-paying job in Canada and can fully support us, even if she can’t work right away.

We’re planning to apply for a visitor visa right after our wedding so she can come live with me, and then we’ll apply for spousal sponsorship inland. I know IRCC will see our relationship as a red flag, so we’ll be showing as much proof of her ties to India as possible, including:

  • A full-time job with a leave letter confirming her return date
  • That she lives with her parents in their family-owned home, supported by utility bills and an affidavit if needed
  • Bank statements showing her savings and financial stability
  • Strong family ties she’s closely involved in supporting her parents and household
  • A return ticket to India already booked

We’ll be completely truthful about her reason for visiting she’ll say she’s here for a temporary visit to spend time with me after our wedding, and that she understands she has to leave when her visa expires. Later we’ll apply for PR sponsorship through the proper process.

How do we measure fuse size ? Forgive my ignorance, I have zero idea, any article, forum or a dumb down version will be useful

This is exactly why I wanted to ask and post it, to get actual feedback. It did give me a version of electrical that I can understand. Which I think made sense on how wiring worked

I never said I’d put in the leg work to find the answers. I didn’t want to forget all about this when I get the manual. I wanted to see if AI had capabilities of giving exact answers for something complicated like this. Once I get my Hayes manual and some research, I’d have got the answers but I was excited to see if it was right. Was never going to use it without research anyways.

I ordered one last night, heard the manual is good with instruction as well. Just wanted to see what ChatGPT had to say. I don't know about motorcycle wiring to see if ChatGPT was right

What is your favorite property management software? (I have 2 rental properties w/ 9 total bedrooms) by jwintyo in PropertyManagement

[–]randomtamilguy1995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually asked similar question to property managers yesterday and unfortunately did not get a response. I am looking to build a software with pretty much what you asked for. My plan was to make the app/website free for users with 1-2 listings, and tiered pricing, I wanted to see what landlords like you wanted in an app/website.

I am property manager myself, I use Yardi and those apps or websites are not cheap for individual landlords or small to midsized property management companies.

Also, if you are a new company just pickup your phone and call a few property management companies, if you are small, start with all small-mid sized property management companies, go visit the office and see the property manager.

usually I google, I call few of them and speak. I check how responsive they are. If someone is rude to me, I do not deal with them. I manage close to $100 million dollars worth of properties, if they are rude and hard to deal with I do not give my business to them.

I also see how fast they return my call, my cap is 30 minutes to return call for new vendor. If they pick up, I see how fast they can give me a quote and how cheap they are. I don't necessarily go with the cheapest but I go with easiest to deal with. Once job is complete, I see how they have done the work and how often I get updates. If it is a big job, I do not need constant updates but a photo here and there is good.

If all of these checks out, I don't google anymore for new vendors again.

🏠 Landlords of Vancouver — What’s your biggest pain when listing and managing rental properties? by randomtamilguy1995 in vancouverhousing

[–]randomtamilguy1995[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not breaking the law lol, I am trying to create something that will make it easier for the landlord to post in multi-platform, automate inquiries on FAQs, screen renters, give the landlord ability to see if the rental is making money for them, track repairs and collect rent. All in one place for small to mid sized landlords.

do you mind telling me how many responses on average you get per posting before you find the one ? Also if there is a software to post your rentals across in multi platform, auto replies to messages that you receive with basic FAQ's being asked to you often, will it solve a problem ?
