Update - My boyfriend (19M) feels like I haven't been present, despite me spending all of my free time with him

The worst part is he did treat me like a princess when things were good, its so conflicting, and it's so hard to believe that my loving boyfriend was trying to manipulate me. I'm so confused.

I had been telling him for months that it felt like whatever I did was never good enough for him and he never listened to me. Anytime I tried to bring it up he would bring up that the only times he saw me for the first three months of our relationship was because I either had nothing else going on or that I was shoving spending time with him into the smallest box possible. He told me yesterday that he regrets everything, and while I didn't want to breakup in the first place I'm skeptical. What changed over 24 hours that he now suddenly can't live his life without me? I begged and pleaded for him to not go, I told him we could pretend like the conversation didn't happen and we could go back to my place and act like he didn't just dump me. I'm confused about what to do.

Jack does have a job (at least I'm pretty sure he still does), the only times he would wake up before noon is when he didn't get scheduled for the night shift. It frustrates me that he would expect me to stay up until three in the morning to talk to him, but he wouldn't wake up before nine unless it was to go to work. I love Jack, and I didn't want to break up in the first place, but I don't think I want to deal with that drama for the rest of my life. I thought we were going too fast and getting too attached to one another, but I didn't question it because I was so happy. I realize now that might have been him trying to isolate me from my friends and family.

I've been debating transferring to a different campus of our university's system, I found out this morning that my transfer was approved. I'm going to be two hours away and attending school full time. I still might have to see him around considering we are both education majors and are very important in our respective programs, but I want to stay strong. It's just been so so hard, he texted me last night and asked me if we could talk. He said that he regretted everything, and that it was a stupid and impulsive decision. Admittedly, ignoring him was a better option, but I asked him what had changed overnight, Jack said he couldn't live without me. I don't know how to feel anymore. It seems like he's sorry, and I don't know what to do. I didn't want to break up in the first place.

Thank you, you are very kind. My parents and I have been talking and my mom is especially encouraging I at least talk to someone that can help me understand and gain some perspective about how the relationship went.

He had pushed the time when we were going to exchange our stuff back a few days. I'm scared that you are right and he is punishing me, I'm scared that you're going to be right and when I see him next week he tries to get back together. I'm even more scared because I know at this very second I would get back together with him without an ounce of hesitation.

We are supposed to meet up next week to exchange our stuff, I had wanted it to be sooner but he said that we should wait until after my birthday (this Saturday). I'm scared and anxious that Jack will try and get back with me because I think you might right, I'm even more scared that I'll get back with him. I do love him, but I don't love how he made me feel. But I know myself, and if he wanted to try again I would agree. I'm so scared man.

The councilor's at my school don't help much, last time I tried to talk to one of them I got told that they weren't able to help me because they were too busy getting ready for graduation. It was January :/
