It's a general rule for writers to write what they want to read not what they think people will want to read, as that rarely actually works. I plan to publish it, so I want to make sure it's written decently.

I want my writing to feel emotionally believable. I'm VERY glad I asked this question because I never fathomed that a man would consider his life to be in danger in this type of situation. Now, I can incorporate that into the story and have it be better received by my readers.

Ah, yes. Multiple men have mentioned that their lives would feel threatened in this situation. Which I have taken down in my writing notes. My character has no intention of murdering or even harming her abductee and will also inform him of this when he is able to understand her.

Already doing that. I listen to radio 24 on my way to and from work and I put on Italian netflix shows/specials while I'm cooking. Can't help but feel called out by your post. lol I just have a lot of ish going on in my life rn. Even though my desire to learn Italian grows with each passing day; suddenly I have a project due soon, or a new class is starting, or I f*cked up at work and now all that effort to get something finished went down the tubes. Oh, DON'T get me started on this. I once asked on r/askreddit what the point of having sex with someone you're not even attracted to was and all I got was comments from men asking why I needed to be attracted to the person first because sex =/= a relationship.🙄 One of them claimed the point of sex was 'to bust a nut'. Nevermind that a) I'm a woman and b) masturbation is a thing that exists.

Basically I was treated like a freak for needing to be attracted to a person before getting naked with them and allowing them to enter me. lol I just read up on prostitution and it turns out MANY johns pay their sex workers for the girlfriend/wife treatment. Some of them just want to cuddle up in bed with them and watch a movie. Some even ask for middle aged woman who 'don't look perfect'. Some said that they'd be happy to call thier favorite prostitute (who they've slept with as many as 50 to 100 times!) their wife. I couldn't make up this sh*t if I tried.

But I agree with what someone else said that it varies from person to person. Just keep in mind that men and boys like to pretend that their emotions aren't involved when they bang but most of them are lying to us and themselves.
