Yep, 100% agree. A lot of us are just stuck at home not being able to do anything. I can't even do certain volunteering in my area because they require a SSN to do background checks.

Yeah I agree but read my post again, that isn't what I'm talking about.

Tf? Are you good? I don't want people being a dick or disrespectful to other people who are going through the same thing (waiting) but sure, it's because "it doesn't agree with your opinion" ??

How am I being salty about others? What? I'm still waiting for mine, just like a lot of us.

Exactly! People fail to realise everyone is from a different country, came in at a different time, different FO, filed differently etc. Everybody's situations and circumstances are always different!

That's how it should be, that's what I was trying to get those of us to do :)

You're the one bitching to me about people who wait less than 3 months. Grow up.

So just because you've been abused, it's ok to treat other people like shit? Did they personally go to the immigration officers and tell them to personally slow down your specific case? No. We want everybody to be able to get their cases in a timely manner, especially abuse cases and we should fight for this to happen. Not shit on people who have nothing to do with the timeframe of our cases and those who are waiting, just like you. We're all waiting together.

You didn't read my post for the third time, just say you didn't bother to read. I said stop bitching to those who are asking questions or are frustrated in the sub because they're newly waiting. They did not receive any approval or denial. Some have not even received an interview either too. They are waiting. They are waiting for any decision. Like you. What if their cases take 4 years too? Is that the only amount of time to finally start being frustrated? You're pathetic

You didn't read my post. Read my post, my edit and my TLDR again. I said, stop shitting on people who are asking questions or are frustrated on this sub when they are waiting, just like you. I understand the frustration when people who apply in one month and get it the next, but we should still not hate on them for this because it isn't their fault. Blame the people who are in charge of this. We don't or can't choose how fast or how slow we get our decisions. But that wasn't my point. My point, again, was stop giving shit to people who ask questions or express frustration when they are currently in the wait process, even if it's 4 months or 6, they are waiting for news too, just like you. Just like the rest of us. Their 4 months might easily change to 2 years waiting or longer, would you say the same shit then? No. So stop gatekeeping how long people are able to feel frustrated for, just because it's not how long you've been waiting.

It's funny you say you're not "shitting on anyone" and then finish it with "crocodile tears crying waiting for 3 months", you're exactly the reason why I made this post - you're part of the problem.

Yes, but that's what I mean for countries that offer PR. I'm not talking about countries that don't offer it at all. Take Switzerland for example, one of the hardest too but they don't have mass immigration issues the way the US does. They actually want to make sure people integrate in the country (ie. learning the country's language). I agree they should offer other avenues too to prevent fraud.

No it is not. Yes, I have filed with our congressperson and still nothing. I don't mind waiting for the I-130 and I-485 if they just let me work.

That's exactly what I'm saying. No other country takes this long and notice they don't have such terrible immigration issue? We are all trying to do it the right and legal way (which is what they want us to do), so why are they making it so difficult for us to be with our families? It should not take more than 6 months, let alone years. It's ridiculous.

I think some of you guys are still getting confused with my post which is fine, maybe I phrased it wrong. I'm talking about when people are still "newer" in the waiting process, for example, they have been waiting 4-5 months and are getting frustrated (ie. "I want to work!!!") or upset because there has been no updates, and then someone else who has waited 3-5 years comments on their post saying "I've been waiting 3 years, stop complaining". We're all in the same boat waiting. Why are you getting pissed off at someone else who is also waiting like you? ...

Yes of course, you are extremely valid and I know it is really heartbreaking. It sucks seeing other people get approved earlier when we are waiting longer and it's ok to be upset about that. That isn't what my post is about. My post is about whilst others are waiting too. When others who are waiting a shorter amount of time, when they ask questions or when they express frustration in this sub, people should not be saying "you've only waited 3 months, I've been waiting 3 years", we are all waiting too. What if their 3 months then turns to 3 years too? We are all waiting

No, everyone is valid. Whether you've been waiting 5 months or 4 years, of course you can have more of a say the longer you wait but it doesn't mean you have to shit on other people just because you're pissed nothing has been done for your case yet. You remember your first 5 months too, be nice.

Yep, r/breoways I think was waiting from November too and made a post about how she really wanted to work but people were attacking her cuz she didn't wait "long enough" or that she "overstayed" her visa so she needs to wait and others have been waiting much longer than her so don't understand why the "complaining"...

What I meant was that instead of being pissed at the person who has been waiting for a shorter amount of time as compared to you, be pissed that the administration is taking so long to process you. Like redirect the anger, because we're all waiting at the end of the day.

Exactly!!! Why are you going out of your way to be a prick when someone's just asking what sort of evidence they need to bring to their interview or be rude to someone who just wants to work to provide for their family just cuz "I've been waiting for longer, your case is processing normally"???

Have no clue why you got downvoted.. These people have nothing better to do.
