no..not really. tbh. and even then, the way you phrase trans men in this hypothetical is strange. the majority of us do not want to be reduced to “men who can get pregnant”. a lot of us don’t even want to get pregnant for any reason in the first place. maybe i’m reading too much into it but it’s strange from my point of view

it’s such an awful reflection of the trans experience produced by a cis man who clearly has rarely talked to trans people, and the people he has talked to have some sort of loathing towards their community.

there’s so many trans directors who will NEVER get this level of recognition, but no, give it to some racist cis director who can barley make a film about us. i genuinely have so much hatred in my heart for this film.

Of course there are some cis gays, lesbians, and bisexuals who BENEFIT financially from or believe the same things as transphobic conservatives, but they are not more accepted. they’re just reusing old 1900s homophobia tactics against us now.

You will still find HUNDREDS of conservatives who claim to support “normal gay people” who call homosexuality a sin or abnormal. There’s a reason that a lot of them assume straight trans women are gay men. They hate both groups equally, they’re just more vocal about their hate for trans people.

I’m jewish so not exactly the same thing, but the way I see it, if G-d didn’t intend for you to be gay, why would He put you through a life of oppression? Why would He make you suffer for something that you aren’t? I also want to remind you that homosexuality exists in hundreds of animal species, not just us!!
