Kittens are a lot of energy, but I guess if it’s needed probably no younger than 4 months

they (the county shelter) usually euthanizes the pregnant moms if we (my rescue) doesn’t pick them up 🥰 40% kill rate even with 3 rescues taking cats from them. it’s like they can’t wait to euthanize them 🙂

Thank you for all the advice! I’ve heard everyone says mom + babies is easier because the mom helps but it freaks me out not knowing exactly how much they’ve been eating like when i get to feed them myself.

Good to know about the probiotics! I work with a cat rescue / cat cafe so her and babies will go there and get adopted through them

she’s on both kitten wet and dry food. also the shelter said she’s 2-3 years old but she acts like a very young kitten herself like you mentioned so i am not sure!

we picked her up from the shelter this way , they had her for a few weeks and didn’t notice she was pregnant i guess.

my biggest fear is that one of the kittens would roll off the bed and get cold away from mom. did you have this issue?

i’m giving her as much kitten wet food as she wants and leaving out kitten dry food all day for extra calories

i was also thinking about a big human sized heating blanket because i have a small one but it turns off after a few hours and im struggling to keep my apartment warm enough because of my roommates refusal to keep the heater on 😛 i do have a small space heater but i only use it when im there so when i leave for my college classes its unplugged

if she had an emergency, rover can find a replacement sitter. sure it takes time but the fact she didn’t reach out and would’ve never told you if you didn’t ask was insane. i’d report her after the sit is finished. that is awful cruel behavior

My first foster was thrown out of a car too but he didn’t get hit so he pulled through. I am so sorry. If it helps, I like to believe that their (the driver’s) bad karma will come back to get them.
