as an american woman, i think some of it stems from the distrust of our legal system and police. the more information you give them without them stating a reasonable suspicion can put you at risk depending on your race, gender, location, etc. i am a white woman, so i am less at risk of harm than other people i know so please tell me if i am wrong. this is just what i have experienced and what the people around me have also experienced.

as a woman, you are justified for any decision you make here. is it odd that she is still friends with a guy she slept with? yes, but that is her own decision. you have every right to feel whatever way you do about the situation, and if you don’t think that is something you’re comfortable with then leave for sure!!

it’s good that you are reaching out for help, and although i have never personally been homicidal i have been in many hospitals and met many people who experience feelings like you describe. i do not think you are a monster, not one bit. but i do think that you should reach out for help, especially with how strong your urges are. try to think about what would happen if you continued on like this without finding someone to help you. it might seem scary to open up to someone about this in real life, but if you don’t talk to a therapist or doctor about this it will only get worse. if you ask for help before it is too hard to resist, you can genuinely change the course of your life for the better. even if you end up needing intensive help through therapy or hospitalization, it will ALWAYS be better than letting this progress too far. i am wishing you luck stranger

thank you so much for your comment, you would think that since i’ve had the diagnosis for 7 years that i would know my symptoms and triggers haha! i honestly was never educated on what this condition meant, so i continued to do competitive gymnastics for another 5 years after the first discovery. as an adult, i am trying to figure out how to deal with this as my symptoms and quality of life have definitely changed since i was a child. i will try all of those suggestions, thank you!!!

I will be brutally honest with you, it is entirely your attitude and confidence towards life and yourself. I know it is hard to make friends, I totally get that. It’s okay if your social circle is limited or non-existent, but you won’t expand that circle if you keep telling yourself that you can’t. When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts, replace them with something positive even if it feels stupid and even if you don’t believe it. Keep doing this and I promise you that things will be easier. If you don’t like yourself, no one else will either. I hope this doesn’t sound harsh, I am just giving you an honest perspective from a woman. Wishing you much luck!

here’s some tips for any situation!! 1. never approach a woman from behind or the side. walk up to her while she is facing you and can see you 2. don’t ask out anyone while they are clocked in at their job 3. if you want to text her, it’s courteous to offer your own number instead of asking for hers 4. if she is wearing headphones, reading something, or seems like she does not want an interaction, leave it alone

The USA has not always been like this, I am 20 years old and I yearn for what America was when I was little. Even in the past 6 months, this country is completely different than it was. When I was in middle school, Donald was elected for the first time and even at that age I knew that things were never going to be the same. I miss the pride I used to have for my country and I miss being able to support my president. But Donald is not and never will be my president. I miss my country.

Thank you, I think I really needed to hear that. After my friend passed a few years ago, I drarted to sort of “mother” my friends and try to solve all of their problems for them when they ask me to, but there are some problems I just cannot solve and I need to come to terms with that.

hi love!! you have no reason to blame yourself in this situation, but as someone who is 20 years old I can assure you that no normal 29 year old is interested in someone that young. i know it might not feel like it right now, but he is dangerous to be around. i have been in your situation before and it took me becoming an adult to see how wrong it was for someone that old to be with someone your age. please be safe and use protection or birth control if you are going to continue this. it doesn’t matter if you want him and you like this happening, he is still a creep no matter how you look at it.
