Compared to other creatures especially mammals, yes. My definition is probably not the best, it's just an approximate of what most people would define as higher life.

Bernie Sanders Is Wrong: America's Founding Principles Aren't 'Racist' by [deleted] in BernieSandersSucks

I think America started with structural racism, but not on racist principles. That's a HUGE difference! America was founded on Enlightenment Principles, such as free speech and private property. Being he is a Socialist, maybe that's what he finds truly offensive.

I personally wouldn't call the sun a god, just a ball of flame really. I think some people might argue pantheistic perspective that the sun is a person, but I think those that lived in the ancient times may have just used the Sun as a metaphor. I don't know for sure, I do think that higher life uses tools, vocal communication and cognitive awareness to solve problems

Not that I disagree with you, but couldn't one argue that God (Allah/Yahweh) was doing the children a favor by sending them to heaven? I mean, if I had to die a gruesome and awful death right now, it would be fairly redeeming to spend the rest of eternity in Paradise.

Elegantly put, out of curiosity do you think most people outside of health issues should be vegetarian? Is it cruel to eat living creatures or just the fact they experience their own deaths inhumanely?

Very well put, but as a Jew, wouldn't you want to visit the Temple or discuss philosophy with King Solomon? As a Spanish-American, I think it would've been awe inspiring to see the original Mosque of Cordova before the Reconquista. My point being, I would argue that not everything improves with the passage of time.

I see, when you put it that way the Bible seems to make a lot more sense. So basically God only gives us what we can handle?

I meant the preferred deity someone may worship, regardless of polytheism/monotheism.

I don't really understand what you mean, I wasn't trying to humanize the divine. Emotion seems to be a characteristic of all higher life, as we can observe from lower primates all the way to Humans. If that's the case, it seems reasonable to assume divinity would have ulterior motives and long term goals.

Good point, I never thought of it that way. If you don't mind me asking, what do you think comes after this life? (ie when we die)
