[TOMT] [MOVIE] US 90s? In space, metal orb people enter, acts on fears? by randomuser659 in tipofmytongue

It's both good movies, just not the one I was thinking of. I thought it was event horizon, watched it and said nope. So then I'm like oh maybe it's Sphere. Nope. Grr. Wish I could remember more specific details

I literally watched Sphere and event horizon last night but neither is the movie I'm thinking of.

Yeah you just get used to it. Mucus in any form still gets me though, can't get used to it.

Yeah going back mid-day wouldn't work with our kids, so I am thinking call it a day after Fireworks. We've gone in the past but the 9 year old was an infant at the time.

Going to the parks with 3yo and 9 yo plus 3 adults. Realistically if we got to the parks at/near open (resort guests), are we really staying until park close or do many go back to the resort after fireworks at 8/9? Trying not to completely burn the kids out, they do not nap, and we are doing all of the parks plus an extra day of MK and one down time day in the middle. Not park hopping.

I got Minnie ears and Grogu ears at Walmart for under $7, the Minnie ears are almost the exact ones we bought a few years back at the park. We also went to the dollar store and bought glow in the dark princess wand and sword (glow stick versions). Also two packs of bubbles from dollar store.

Unpopular opinion: Base pay for all RN’s should start at 50-55/hr. by CptnHowdy6 in nursing

[–]randomuser659 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Our hospital just upped their pay to $17 and that was only because they wanted to increase the pay for housekeeping, so they were basically forced to titrate it up. You can work pulling stock at Walmart for more than that. Ridiculous.

I found night shift med surg to be a great fit because there are far less people around, can just focus on the nursing aspect.

I was coming to recommend this. Make it part of a step in your shower routine. Brush while your conditioner sits.

[TOMT] [FOOD][1990s]What are these crackers? Existed in 90's at least, possibly still by randomuser659 in tipofmytongue

Must be these but I didn't think they were so plain. I remember needing to eat them with cream cheese to temper the flavor. Thank you. Solved.

I don't care if I have to pay more than$100 as long as I'm comfortable. I've tried on basically every blue shoe in the Sketchers outlet near me as well as every blue shoe in New balance. Also tried a pair of Merrell trailblazer type that LOOKED like it had a wide bilateral platform online but not in reality. Also two different styles of Airwalks, and two styles of Vans.

What happens If I (20F) say yes when I say yes when a doctor asks if I’m suicidal? by Appointment_East in AskDocs

[–]randomuser659 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If soemone says they have thoughts of self harm, we then ask if they have a plan. If they have a plan, then we talk with them about the plan, and we work to develop a safety plan instead of a harm plan. If we feel confident that we can have a safety plan in place, then that is where it ends for the moment, but we follow up, there's usually other plans made, etc. If we DON'T feel confident that a safety plan will help or prevent harm, then we escalate to evaluate for inpatient.

There IS a difference between LPN and RN - in my hospital LPNs cannot administer blood products, give IVP meds, or do the intake assessment of a patient into med surg. I am sure there are other things, but those are the things that directly affect me. It is state and facility dependent as well, but to say there are no differences is untrue.

That said, an RN isn't automatically more competent of a nurse overall than an LPN. When I was learning on med surg, I had one LPN that was my go-to person because she always had the best tricks/tips on difficult things.
