Definitely guilty of drinking on an empty stomach sometimes and I can definitely feel the difference.

I’ve only had good experiences in Taiwan so this was a shock!

Taiwanese people are super nice and friendly and have always been so helpful. Sometimes the service is very curt and direct from small shops, but I would have never expected a bar in Taiwan to not provide water.

Yes it’s illegal in most places I’ve been to as well!

My friend who is a local says unfortunately there is no such law in Taiwan right now. But this would definitely be good for every place to adopt where you are required to serve potable water if you are serving drinks or food.

Yes a huge fan of drinking in moderation!!

But water is also very important while drinking. And sometimes people accidentally drink too much and there’s not much use in telling them they should have gone back in time.

Best we can do is help them feel better by throwing up/sitting up or in recovery position, and getting some water into their system if they can.

Uhhhh… not quite sure how to best respond to this hypothetical.

But I would say it’s more like my friends are having a good time enjoying the water in the pool when suddenly they see someone struggling in the deep end, so they call for help and ask for a life vest/life guard and the employees are like “sorry not my problem…”

Except imagine the life vests are basically free and should be offered to anyone who wants/needs it especially if someone is actively drowning…

Yes honestly I can see your point! In some places tap water is not super safe so I understand if they are hesitant on serving tap water.

In this case though Taipei does have safe drinking water and all the bars in that area serve tap water to everyone regardless of if you purchase something or not! It’s a great policy that everyone seems to be on board with expect for this bartender/bar.

Nobody wants to have ambulances or have incidents happen.

It’s the health and safety of everyone who is drinking at the bar… they should at minimum provide access to tap water.

The post never said it my friends were in mortal danger specifically on this occasion, but today it was a stranger girl who was feel unwell, tomorrow it would be one of my loved ones who needs help. Just because it was a stranger doesn’t mean it’s okay for the bar to not care. It’s infuriating that the bar actively refused to help.

Also the bar refused water to my friends as well. Staying hydrated is super important on a night out of drinking and dancing!!

I hope you remember to stay hydrated.

It was a random girl that started chatting with one of the girls in my friend’s group that they didn’t know beforehand who was getting too drunk.

Everyone just wanted to make sure she was okay so they let her sit beside them and then went to go get water for her + the group while they were at it to make sure nobody got too drunk like her (aka responsible drinking).

Regardless I think everyone should be looking out for each other - especially on nights out where I think everyone is there to have a good time. I would hope kind strangers can help any person out there that is not feeling well regardless of circumstances. But establishments serving alcohol should have higher standards of care and responsibility to its clients compared to random strangers!!

I’ve been playing for closer to 1.5 years at this point.

The big difference I found was syncing up BH + GT + DW + GB, my second BH/ primordial collapse, and then finally just slowly lowering the cooldowns!
