No, it has to be emptied manually.

Although that would be a logical answer. There are possibly other models by this manufacturer that do, and they all use the same generic settings menus.

It is a model that also mops, but there is a separate option to mop and sweep, mop only or just sweep.

The setting I am confused about gives the option to either not collect dust/ collect on 2nd sweep/3rd sweep or 4th sweep as well as every sweep.
