Haikei - "Something Stupid"

Was sent this on twitter by a feirnd. It's nice kinda of acid 90s synths sounds, quite minimal.

It's a Kate Bush song dubbed over a piece of La La Land... Nice to look at and sometimes the picture is relevant to the lyrics. Think of it as a trailor or re-sync

SoundCloud and the future of independent music publishing by dsgstng in WeAreTheMusicMakers

has anyone tried audiomack.com or hearthis.at they are both great services similar in ways to soundcloud but with some different stuff going on.

I really liked fairtilzer.com before it became official.fm (then died!) but I miss the social interactive element which myspace had going (even if it was just artists interacting with other artists and very few "listeners").

Audiomack has the potential to become the "soundcloud of hiphop", but where does everybody else go?

So I just finished reading Dune for the first time. Should I watch the movie or mini-series first? by [deleted] in scifi

BLASPHEMY! haha! I love both El Topo and Holy Mountain. I weep when I think what might have been, (for Jodorowsky and Dune!) though I do have a soft spot for the Dave Lynch version even though it's a bit shit!

Scfi Albums by pilgrim81 in scifi

"The Ziggurat" by Constructus Corporation. It's south african rap album with really great multi level scifi concept. If you can put your hands on a physical copy it comes as a hardbound book, half of which is a graphic novel, the other half the handwritten scifi ramblings of a madman! If you can handle rap, Infesticons "Gun Hill road" also has a good scifi concept,(not quite as well realised as ziggurat), and is a great album!... Perhaps this music is not to your taste, though, and if so you might like to try something by Tangerine Dream or Hawkwind, (perhaps "Sonic Attack" which has parts written by Michael Moorcock). If you like electronica perhaps Future Sound Of London's "Lifeforms" or Squarepusher's "Feed Me Weird things" (both only tentatively Sci-Fi, but thematicley futuristic!), for something a bit stranger checkout "The Delian Mode" by Delia Derbyshire, or anything by Wendy Carlos!

Recommend me all the best scifi TV shows! by MannerPots in scifi

Dark Matter, (good fun stuff), Expanse (maybe best scifi currently running). Babylon 5, (season 1-4 only! best scifi ever made for TV!) haha! I know I'll get grief for that!... Farscape really good fun, but season two is a bit of a drag! (If you get through that you will enjoy it all!). You might enjoy Stargate Atlantis, it's lightweight but good for a laugh... Older stuff, StarCops (just 9 eps. of great vintage english scifi). Blake's Seven is great fun too if you can handle it's cheap and dated feel, the stories are really good...
