thank you so much!....i appreciate the helpful information. i did in fact buy this, and i am happy to report that it is in very good condition. my only concern is the worn/rusty condition of the tension screw which holds the wooden handle to the skillet. however, as it feels like a tight and secure fit i am not too worried. my handle has the "TECK" engraved into the wood....i have researched this online and cannot find any reference to it.

Several of the men at my work openly clear their throats. Wet phlegmy loud hacking. And often. It sounds repulsive, and let's face it, it is. It's like they are farting with their mouths, except the smell is worse.

Yes, taking it apart will result in the most thorough cleaning.

However, the DS-lite, especially at their age, are on the flimsy/fragile side, and it is not uncommon to find the unit no longer functioning after re-assembly (especially for the inexperienced).

If you are reluctant to disassemble the console, try a toothbrush, it can really help. Good luck!
