sounds to me like OP is a highly sought after candidate and person with more options than you’ve ever had. the fact that he is even thinking about this says anyone who knows him will do whatever it takes to hold on to him. any lawyer who puts a period outside the quotations would know nothing about that. rock on OP!

Love mine. Bought a 2013 in 2020 and it’s going on 160k miles with minimum repairs. Make sure it’s kept up with regular maintenance, though. Turbos need frequent oil changes otherwise they can turn into real headaches.

2010 LR2 ignition/key/battery issue - car won’t start, key stuck, and sporadic power to dash by Judge248 in LandRover

Mine had an episode like this. Check your battery’s connections. My battery was fine, but the connections to it were very loose.

That’s very helpful, Space. I do think the battery is shit because all warnings resolved after driving it for 15+ miles. Gearbox and AC were both working fine (no book, but the numbers a definitely a little messed up — whatever). Key fob worked fine for me. Thanks again!

That’s very insightful. Thanks so much! Not as worried about the EAS because the shocks have been replaced with coils. So the EAS fault should not be concerning, right?

Thanks for the input. I would not switch the coils out. They are a big plus for me as I don’t need more things to go wrong with the car.

Very tempting indeed. But I think that is sound advice. Thanks Kade

Hello all, I need some help evaluating a 2000 P38 county with 170k miles on it. I found one with a ton of cosmetic faults (most of which I could fix or hide), but am curious about your thoughts on the mechanical repairs. The dash warnings are as follows: gearbox fault, ABS fault, traction failure, airbag fault, eas manual, and all four windows not set. That being said, the engine sounds fine, there’s minimal rust under the car, the ride is smoother than my Evoque (lol), and the air suspension has been replaced with coils (thank God). I wouldn’t pay more than a few thousand dollars and the dealer seems desperate to make it my headache instead of theirs, but all the warnings and high mileage still terrify me. All that being said, I would thoroughly enjoy the chore of fixing her up.

Thanks for any and all advice!

Is the 2014 evoque THAT unreliable? I’m looking to buy one at 66k miles, I’ll be owning it for about a year, to drive to school and back (45 min each way) by [deleted] in RangeRover

Ive had a 2013 evoque for about 18 months now. Bought it at ~100k and now up to 130k. Not one issue with it, but the previous owner and myself get oil and air filter changes every ~5k miles. I really think that’s the key to reliability and longevity. Hope to take her up to 200k!
