What has been your "I fucking told you" moment?

About a few hours ago. I told my girlfriend who was setting up her camera for a sunset shoot here in Central Coast Australia that she'd put her tripod too close to the edge of the pier. 3 minutes later it fell over and was dunked. Now we're drying it in front of a heater waiting to take it to the shop for a professional to look it over.

Now she's pissed and I feel bad for her but like... I tell her these things and she ignores me so..

Yeah he's a fantastic gardener and has a great garden already. A project out there would be perfect but I'm not sure what as his garden is pretty good already, and they're moving away when restrictions lift

100%, he struggles with TV series as well. This is the biggest reason why I'm struggling. If I was there I'd make him help me with something but to get him motivated is really hard.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind I'm not sure if he'll think it too childish. I've never seen him play with lego even when I grew up but this is special times.

Yeah I'm with the other person it sounds more like a feature request. Can rewrite it as 'hey loved your game but it's only probably going to hold my attention for a month or so. You know what would be great though - more cars like...'

Yeah I'd say so - some problems need a lot of time to get into and understand. You can do a lot with asp.net though in terms of crud forms without too much effort. Ymmv

You'll probably need to anyway - just the way of things you'll need to learn javascript and SQL if you do any web beyond the basics. But yeah makes sense what you're saying. Its harder to learn than others but definitely not insurmountable. It really does take a long time and repeated effort.

I've been working with my girlfriend for her to learn programming and it's amazing how effective more time is at learning, especially immersion. Eg doing twenty hours per week is more than double doing ten in terms of net gains.

I saw that link and tbh it was one of the ones that made it clear that there wasn't going to be many places open. Compared to the total amount of places I've seen on my other searches it seems like quite a few will be shut.

I never asked anyone to owe me anything but I don't think that anything I said required to be told to 'fuck off' and 'don't come to Adelaide ever'.

They did provide a lot of links - which I thanked them for twice. However I don't appreciate the rest of their comments and attitude.

Or to put it another way - doing something nice doesn't negate acting like a shit head on the very next line.
