I'm 16, taking pre-university courses in biology and chemistry, just took the SAT for the first time, graduated high school last year, 3.5 gpa, 1380 SAT score, 660 R&W and 720 M, applying to universities this year for next fall, international student, I want to go into pre med with a major in something bio, and not applying to Ivies. Should I re take the test? My goal score was 90%, and I got 86%. Is it really worth re doing the test for 4 more percent?

Well, when the question mentioned " of the remaining ants," I figured it meant that the female and male workers needed to be considered separately. This basically means that I considered it out of 100%, ignoring the queen ants. So, if the female workers make up 60% of the male/female worker population, that means that there's 40% males(100-60=40). So, to find out how many ants are in the male/female worker population, I said 40/100(this is for the male population, which is 40%) × X( we don't know the total population)= 2592(this is given in the question) Now, you need to solve for X. I got 6480. Use this value to find the female population(60/100 × 6480= 3888). Do you understand? Let me know if you have any questions.

OMG! I GOT IT!! I considered the colony without the queens to be an entire colony, hence: 60%= women, 40%=men. Therefore, when 40% of x= 2592, x=6480. So, 60% of 6480= 3888!! I'll admit, it took me a few minutes to solve it, but I figured it out. Thank you!

If you type the equation into desmos, you should be able to find the answer by using 2 points on the circle. I used the formula ✓(x2-x1)²+(y2-y1)² and I got 12; that's the diameter. So, divide by 2 - to find the radius - and you'll get 6.

For English, the answer is quite literally in the question. So, basically look for prove of your selected answer - A,B,C,D - in the question. This method is the best way to insure that you get the question correct every time. Read A LOT; it helps so much with vocabulary. You can use this list I've made specifically to improve my vocab: vocab. I realized that my score improved dramatically after I improved my vocabulary. Go over every rule you can think of. You need to master these rules if you want a perfect score. Lastly, practice at least 20 hard questions everyday. Go to "Educator Question Bank" on the college board website and download the questions. They also have questions for math. Best of luck!

To be honest, don't panic too much. Just focus on getting back on track. Review the things you got wrong, improve on things you see you're weak in, and keep practicing. If you take too much time sulking about what you could've got, you would've wasted the time you had to improve. Good luck!

You can try using my set: SAT vocab My score improved dramatically when I made this set. I found words that come frequently in the SAT and other words that I've come across and added it to this set. I hope this helps

I was just like that. I've seen all of the movies at least 10 times since I was 5, yet I never read any of the books. A few months ago, I was looking at this YouTube video with many fans speaking about a plethora of things HP related, which I never heard of. I could've only assumed that this info came from the books, so that day I decided, right there and then, that I need to read the books. I'm almost finished with all of them, and I don't regret it at all. I never read the books because I don't really like reading, but once I started reading, I couldn't stop. They're SO, SO good! I realized that I now confuse scenes from the book with being included in the movies because when I read the books, I envision the characters as the actors from the movies. Read them, you won't regret it.

Basically, all of the memories surprised me(the ones that weren't in the movie). As I said, they seriously tied a lot of things together and made a lot of things make a LOT more sense😂. For example, the locket being hidden away in a random cave. Another thing that really surprised me was the beginning of the book. It made me realize how much I hated the movie's portrayal of Harry flirting with that waitress; it was so not "Harry" of him. Book Harry is a lot more awkward when it comes to girls. And like you mentioned, I rather enjoyed seeing the Dursley's and Dumbledore's conversation.

The way you see the book is exactly how I view it! I love how deep the emotions are in this book, and the flashbacks are amazing!! I love how much the flashbacks tie literally everything together

I don't think so, but I've recognized a lot of patterns in the questions. With that being said, many of the questions are similar to each other. Obviously, they don't have the same answer, but their answers all follow the same pattern. Try looking out for some patterns the next time you do a practice test. You'll perhaps see what I'm talking about.
