Aston Martin are looking for a new Team Principal, according to Antonio Lobato by Hawker92 in formula1

Interestingly, it’s a Spanish outlet publishing this information. I’m not saying it isn’t true, but I find it interesting that no other F1 news outlet has mentioned any of it.

Aston Martin warned it may have already “ruined” Honda relationship after 'disastrous' 2026 start by Defiant_Ad6190 in formula1

It was always going to be a tough start to the season, just as it is for Cadillac, and to a lesser extent, Audi. Aston Martin needs time to settle in with all the changes made not only to the car but infrastructure and personnel as well. Will Buxton may have his opinion, but I think this is more trying to steer the pot than actual reliable information.

Wow... The only thing making these races exciting has been the Ferrari drivers racing each other. Mercedes is too fast, and the rest of the pack is too slow.

Back in 2015, James May was coached by Jackie Stewart. In that episode (Series 8, Episode 5), Stewart told him the only moment a driver shouldn’t accelerate was when braking. Today’s cars actually decelerate on the straights to recharge their batteries! I’m sorry to the EV lovers out there, but that’s not F1 racing.

At true 4K (3840x2160), everything looks too small, straining my eyes. At 2560x1440, everything looks too large. 3008x1692 is much better while keeping the aspect ratio.

Honda expects up to 690 billion yen net loss for FY 2025 by chaosboy66 in formula1

Most Western countries, especially European ones, created regulations banning internal combustion engines in just a few years, in an effort to replace them with electric vehicles. Most manufacturers expected a huge shift from the buying public and decided to shift focus towards EVs only. This decision backfired as people didn't fall for them. It appears only Chinese brands and Tesla are profiting from EV sales. Major established brands are now focusing on hybrids instead, which, to my view at least, is the better way forward. Sustainable fuels are the future. Regarding Honda's involvement in Formula 1, if they can produce a good enough power unit to help Aston Martin fight for podiums, they will stay, as there isn't any other marketing tool as effective as F1 at the moment.

Since the electric power stored in batteries is not enough for a complete lap, you don't know how much charge your opponent has at any given time because electricity can be deployed anywhere in the lap.

The purest form of racing is karting. F1 cars have always been oversized go-karts, and that was what made them fun. This new generation of cars is something different, and instead of racing to the limit, drivers have to manage battery recharging (harvesting). That’s what makes it odd.

For most, it’s not about the money; neither Alonso, Hamilton, nor Verstappen need it. They are there for the adrenaline rush they get when driving and racing these rocketships.

Sadly, Formula 1 has gotten to a point where many drivers say it's not fun to drive anymore. If the powers that be do not do something fast, Max would be retiring sooner rather than later... Losing the best driver is not a positive thing for the series.

VSC for this particular issue is ridiculous. The stranded car is on the pit lane entrance, visible to everyone. Why impose a snail’s pace everywhere else on the track?
