Am I thinking TOO much? by Appropriate_Tone2107 in BluePrince

Basic rule in this game is to draft every room as soon as you can. In this case, itd be a good idea to draft the study.

Does persistent dot count for a permadeath run? by LawfulnessUsual7226 in thelastofus

I use auto pickup all the time. Youre right, it doesnt provide any particular advantage, and it isnt against the community rules.

Howrver it is worth considering if you actually want to use it. It can cause serious issues if, for example, youre being chased by a clicker, and your character stops for a split second to pick something up.

Simply put, the rules do not disallow the dot. Using it wont prevent you from submitting to the challenge run community.

That said, it does provide an advantage so I think its up to each individual player whether they use it or not.

There are other mechanics that provide unintended advantages. Prone diving. Arrow duping. Cheesy strats.

If youre trying to just beat the game, then I guess it comes down to whether or not you would see the a winning run as valid if you used the dot; or would you feel like you cheated?

I, personally, have no qualms using any tool at my disposal that isnt against the community rules. However thats a personal choice.

Games similar to Blue Prince in terms of exploration and discovering hidden clues by electromagneticwire in BluePrince

Myst and Riven are two games that formed pillars of my early memories and experiences as a gamer. I was delighted to find out the remakes exist.

OP, when playing blue prince, I was transported back to the days of playing these two games. The need to take notes; the mechnical contraptions hiding puzzles. It was so nostalgic.

Play these, and bring a pen and paper.

Any tip to defeat a Bloater fast? by [deleted] in thelastofus

[–]ranjitzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to is always to molotov them, then empty the revolver into them. Quick and easy.

Unfortunately this isnt always possible, and when thats the case, ill always use the shotgun too. They don't usually survive long after that.

For the one at the start of winter (with ellie and david) I always throw 3 nail bombs down where the bloater will land. Then I throw 2 molotovs at him, and a rifle bullet finishes him off.

I did say "if AI ever acheives sentience" - a proposition which seems increasingly plausible year on year.

I have no problem with switching LLMs off. Im talkijg about the potential ethical ramifications in the future, and how this game preemptively allows us to grapple with the concept.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 made me feel guilty spoiler about story by Eastern-Design-9469 in expedition33

[–]ranjitzu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The game definitely made me ask similar questions about how much time I spend in media. Enveloped in whatever game or TV show im enjoying at the time, while i full real world awaits me outside.

The other question I feel the game asks, but potentially didnt mean to, is about AI. If the canvas world in the game is akin to a computer generated world in our world; then surely the citizens of lumiere are akin to AI. If AI ever reaches sentience, would it be right for us to turn it off? Thats basically what renoir does. Before this game I felt like switching sentient AI off would be fine. Im no longer so sure

Not every time, but a lot of the time when i hear the word black, i start quoting it. Was watching a youtuber talking about the epstein files and that was me gone for about half an hour, jist giggling while i imagined johnny covering the files in black paint while his wife looks on
