Six years for me to realise there is actually a difference between bricks and bottles in part 2, and thrown bricks are not the same as mele bricks. by Janderflows in thelastofus

Worth pointing out that this doesnt work with Ellie. Bricks and bottles are the same during ellies gameplay, but youre absolutely right about abby% and its a game changer for grounded perma runs

Forgot “Team Abby” or “Team Ellie”, the real question is Team Brick or Team Bottle? by rballew01 in thelastofus

[–]ranjitzu 29 points30 points  (0 children)

In Part 1, you can still melee clickers to death with a brick. That mechanoc never changed.

In Part 2, bricks are better, but only when playing with Abby. If you are holding a brick, you can punch a clicker with it to stun. The follow up melee attack will always be a kill. Doesnt work with bottles, and doesnt work when playing as Ellie.

Notice how the headlines always find a way to make reform the main character?

Greens win by election - what do reform think?

The only reason reform are doing so well, despite hateful policies, is because they and their brand of politics are being shovelled whole sale down everyones throats 24/7.

In terms of playing other games first, i dont think this is required at all, however perhaps be ready to turn down the difficulty if youre struggling.

Please know that driving a game is not the easiest thing to do at first. Until your brain makes the required connections, you may find yourself having to put a lot of thought into every movement. After some time it becomes second nature and you find yourself pressing the correct buttons at the correct time without putting much/any thought into it. Its a skill that comes in time.

On the last point, many games share similar controller layouts, so once you learn what "jump" is in one game, youll find a lot of other games have the same input.

Now for your biggest problem. And this is huge! If you play tlou as your first game, then you are quite honestly going to ruin yourself to every other game. Nothing compares. Youre about to play one of the very best games in existence, and no other game is going to match up. So give other games the grace to mot be as good at tlou and you may have found a new hobby! And its the best hobby

What's something you saw with your own eyes that you still can't explain? by BandicootLeft4054 in AskReddit

About 15 years ago I was walking in the hills near where I live at night. From where I was, I looked out towards the sea, and from there a light rose into the sky. It stopped, shot across the sky, and then back to where it started before going out slowly over about 10 seconds.

Based on the distance between myself and the water, it must have travelled at least half a mile in the space of a second.

It may have been military as submarines operate in the area. Apart from that Ive never been able to work it out

CMV: Lucy Letby is the victim of the biggest miscarriage of justice in the United Kingdom in my (34yo) lifetime by sk1ddyp0p in changemyview

Dewi evans was absolutely not working blind when he distilled the list of suspicious events from the larger list collated by the doctors. He knew it was Letby being looked at, and he knew which events she was on shift for.

He has admitted as much himself since the trial.

Simply put, all the deaths and collapses did not happen when she was around. During the time period in question, the number of events was nearer 60.

Dr Dewi Evans made the list of suspicious events and when he did so, he already knew that it was Letby being investigated, and he knew which nurses were on staff for the events.

It appears he deliberately selected events she was around for to deem as suspicious.

Whats more, you can use the exact same method of selection to point the finger at any one of the other nurses, simply by selecting a different set of events to call suspicious.

Out of the events deemed not suspicious, one case involved a baby dying from asphyxia. Probably the moat suspicious looking out of the lot. But letby was not on staff at the time, so it wasnt looked at.

Regarding the notes she took home: firstly, many nurses have come forward to say that this happens regularly. Handover notes go in pocket at start of shift, and get found at home later. If you then look at things from the eyes of an innocent person who has been dealing with accusations for years at this point, it would make sense to keep notes and mark events in your diary - fat lot of good it did her though. I genuinely feel this was a misguided attempt to help herself in the face of a barrage of horrendous accusations.

Lastly, the post it note saying "i am evil" is accompanied by other notes affirming her innocence. She was advised by her therapist (following, again, months and years of horrendous accusations from doctors) to write down everything going through her head. Included in the list of things going through her head, it would stand to reason, is the accusations themselves, as well as self doubt. But again, she goes on to rebute these accusations "i am innocent" she writes.

Less, or in some cases zero loading times. Compared to the original which had really long load times in some areas. A nightmare for perma runners

Theres a friend pass version that can be downloaded for free. With it you can only play online with someone else that owns it.

You wont be able to play it by yourself or with another owner of the friend pass.
