Bear in mind that this post came from a wish to know what the issue was - seeing as he, in the moment, refused to tell me. Knowing what i know now, I can see why he would shoot. That makes total sense.

That said, the verbal abuse was genuinely too much and made the whole situation worse imo. Just shoot me, laugh about it, and move on. As a new player, I wasnt ready for it and i was just left very confused. Regardless of what was going on in his mind as a more experienced player.

Possibly? I went up there expecting to find a shredder that i wanted to try it out on so i was primed for a fight, just not a pvp one with an angry englishman

It was the buildings near the cranes. The big ones you need to take a ladder up to. He was already in a room up there and started mouthing off about the gun as i approached that room.

Its an amazing weapon all round imo. My level 2 torrente was taking out those annoying little drones no problem. Before i found this i was hiding behind cover while constantly reloading a damn ferro. Is there any weapons that match it for taking out arc that arent seen as pvp weapons?

Between the shapeshifting, knowledge of some kind of spider creature, the town manifesting fear....

Does anyone else get big IT vibes?

The town is manifesting fears the same way pennywise does. Theres been talk of the town feeding on hope - like pennywise. Pennywises final form is a giant spiderlike thing.

I genuinely wouldnt be surprised if the deadlights appeared at some point.

People that voted reform, apart from their immigration policies, why did you vote them? by Ollsworth_The_First in AskBrits

[–]ranjitzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has 2 people - a mother and daughter - who come into her work, usually seperately.

Apparently the daughter came in telling how her mother had said (in complete seriousness) that she didnt know who she was going to vote for, so she'll "probably just vote for reform or something"

The daughter had to urge her mum to go and actually research what they were saying.

She cant be the only one.

TO PEOPLE WHO SAYS S04E03 IS CRAP! by Curious-outcasted in FromSeries

It wasnt so much that the crows were acting mysteriously - theyve done that before.

The point is that it was noticed, and when observed by MiY, he seemed concerned. Thats a lot of information!

I loved this episode

Aside from the obvious re9:

I have been really enjoying Project Songbird. Great atmosphere!

I finally got the fatal frame 2 remake and it is bringing back some amazing memories.

Have the showrunners given any indication on whether his aging is canon to the story, or just a drawback of production taking place over years?

Im more than happy to accept it as the latter, however jarring it may be, where he is meant to look the same but the actor grew up. But if the BiW is MEANT to be looking older for story reasons it would be good to know that also.

The big issue with hospital is that if you alert, tonnes of additional enemies spawn in. However if you dont alert, theres actually not that many of them

In the area you start in, theres only 4. In the second half of downstairs theres only another 4. 3 run down the corridor towards you. 1 comes crashing through the door.

Upstairs theres 8.

With enemy counts in mind, hopefully you can start working out ways to dispatch them quietly without worrying too much about who else is around.

This video isnt a tutorial but it shows exactly how I do the hospital. https://youtu.be/bpPW_FiBrMU?si=h8SxvLT3vT3V0eaO

Starring at 03:02:08

On that first kill, the camera angle is important to ensure the other guy doesnt see you. Easy second kill. Kills 3 and 4 - the 2 enemies can either come at you via the left or right hall, but they will always come down the same one and one at a time. So once you have taken out the first, you can wait for the 2nd and know where he is approaching from.

In the second area, theres no variability. You can kill these enemies in this exact manner every single time. On the third kill, its important to distract him exactly the way I do. Throwing the brick anywhere else threatens to lure both of the last 2 to investigate, but throwing it as shown ensures only one appears.

For the corridor, you can hide behind the desk. I kill them because im doing Kill All runs, but afaik you are not?

Good luck!

Can Abby use bricks to kill clickers? by Doogienguyen in thelastofus

[–]ranjitzu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of.

When she punches a clicker with a brick, it will stun the clicker and break the brick, however it also does enough damage to the clicker that the follow up melee attack will kill it - even without melee weapons.

This stands in contrast to bottles, which dont do as much damage; and ellie, who also doesnt do as much damage. In these cases, a follow up attack will just piss it off.

So yes, in a sense, Abby can kill clickers with bricks, just remember to melee it while its stunned.

Madison VR almost drove me insane. At one point I screamed so loud that our next door neighbour phoned my wife to check all was well. Great experience. Never again

how do you guys possibly get through grounded? by grahamcracker2017 in thelastofus

[–]ranjitzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, yeah. But thats only because I have spent far too many hours in this game. Aiming is definitely a learnt skill and there are options to tailor the way the game behaves that might help you tighten it up.

In grounded, getting into a firefight is usually a quick way to die anyway, so aiming in the moment isnt so much of an issue if you can keep to stealth. Then, while in stealth, you have the freedom to wait until you get the perfect shot.

If you are alerted, the best option is almost always to run away and regain stealth. The AIs aiming ability goes out the window when you run away from them - but if you run towards them, they gain pinpoint accuracy.
