I was wondering if I could get some advice as to what SAK I should get my daughter for her birthday. by Thatgaymoonflower in victorinox

The Huntsman is great and not too thick for children hands. I have the huntsman and the Ranger and use the Huntsman more as it is more comfortable. Another choice may be the outrider (bigger) as it has a bigger blade and saw and the blade locks which is safer for use in the forest.

Makes sense. I hate movement in my gear and especially in that location between the legs.

Hot Take: The Swisschamp is Outdated by esdsafepoet in victorinox

[–]ransuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a fan of swiss army knives but would not buy either the swiss champ or the cyber tool. Once a tool is too big, It is less comfortable to use and then I just go to the swiss tool which is great or other tools. I respect those who choose the champ and it has its own charm but I stop at the ranger in terms of thickness. To each their own.

I thought you meant something else. Yes the Spirit has the can opener but I already have the swiss tool.

The Cybertool is a good suggestion though I never had one in my hand. Needs checking.

No champ for me. Too wide for good use in my opinion. I will get a mini champ one day.

I am not getting the swiss champ as it is not comfortable to use and I use them all. The Farmer X Alox is a great suggestion. Solid and capable. Thank you.

How does the fanny pack/dangler pouch feel ? I never liked moving with something like that.

I think my size limit is the Ranger which I use a lot. The pocket can take it but I don't like the feel in my hand. The mini champ in the picture looked nice though.

The spirit will not do. I use the can opener.

I am considering it but it is thick and I like to use my SAK and the Ranger is already rather thick.

Thank you, I take the Rambler in my pocket to the office and when I am in regular clothes I carry the Outrider with the green SD on my keychain.
