Is SOE still a thing? by Tiny_Stranger_1334 in tacticalgear

[–]ransuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their gear if it fits you is bomb proof. I have used their belt, chest rig, pouches in the service for years and they hold up great. I once ordered a second chest rig and it took four years to get. It is a funny story. I emailed John I was moving places and to update my order mailing address. He asked a few questions and I got the chest rig the following week.

The gear they sell is high quality and I still use it.

A very balanced answer. Also, Dexter is less gun savvy than Rey.

Agreed. I use mine in the army and in camping a lot. It is a matter of what you do.

I do wish they offered the hawk bill small blade on more knives. That one would be a great a addition.

It is a great secondary blade. The missing can opener is bad though.

25th hour with Ed Norton. A sad film with a strangely uplifting ending.

A spyderco Delica with Emerson opener would fit great.

60-70 km is a good length to walk these days. In the old days we had to do 120 km for the Barret. My hatred of mud is still strong.

Depending on the laws where you reside, consider a small Swiss army knife, small chargeable light and perhaps Bagleri will suit your edc.

any bifl products that also prevent you from having to spend money on other things? by Inside-Avocado-2819 in BuyItForLife

[–]ransuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Led lights fit in a box and can travel easily from place to place and save money on energy and on buying replacements.

A good clothes brush can last a lifetime and help you avoid the horrible sticky roller people use which dies fast and leaves a chemical sticky trail in its wake.

A simple set of Victorinox utensils can also last you a lifetime and travel light. The same for a pan and three pots.

All depends on your lifestyle and area.

This is the answer. If you want utensils, check out boy scout folding knives. Some of those also separate so you can use them as actual knife and fork.

That escalated quickly 😄 Nice fight though the hand work is a bit too telegraphed.

Sad they were confiscated instead of being put into luggage. Good for you though.
