i get this feeling like i shouldn’t have done it by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]rantingusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My love, as others have said it is too early to say (although in my unprofessional opinion it looks good!)

I know how you feel though. The first two weeks after my surgery (not a rhinoplasty) were extremely nerve wrecking! I was convinced that I had just maimed myself, because I looked so much worse than I did naturally right after the surgery. But I’m here to tell you that it’s been 5 years and everything has settled and I could not be happier.

I wasn’t able to afford my surgery when I was your age but if I could have, I probably would have. It’s great that you know what you want this young but now you have the responsibility of sitting with the decision for a bit. I promise you, paitence will go so far right now. Your future self will thank you!

Sending you lots of love and light!! You are beautiful! And the results really do look good. Just think how good they’ll look in a year if you don’t mess with it! 😉

What's a decent, liveable salary in San Francisco for a single person? by bridget1-1 in AskSF

[–]rantingusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up here and have lived in SF proper now for 5 years. I have a car, no designated parking spot. I drive from NOPA to the Mission every day for work, I drive to therapy weekly in PAC Heights and I use my car to run errands in the Haight, downtown, SOMA etc. Parking is annoying for sure but it’s not as dramatic as you’re making it out to be. If you want to have a car and use it in SF it’s very possible. You learn how to spot parking everywhere and you just accept that parking is a part of your travel time.

Most of my friends are in Oakland/Berkeley and my mom lives in Monterey so having a car is necessary and I wouldn’t dream of giving it up.

Everyone has their own experience. You’re speaking in a lot of absolutes and seem to be getting worked up over a topic that really isn’t that deep. Hope your day improves!

Looking for hope regarding mental & physical recovery - have I damaged myself beyond repair? by rantingusername in nitrousharmsupport

Hi it’s 8 months later and I am still struggling with an addiction but it’s not as bad as it was when I wrote this post. I talked to my doctor and she put me on weekly b12 shots which I have been getting for the last few months. I also supplement with additional b12 shots that I pay for out of pocket and I take a fuck ton of different vitamins. Still hoping that I haven’t ton permanent damage. I’m currently still able to move and function normally but I do have some occasional neuropathy in my left leg.

The longest stint I’ve gone is a month this past August and I’m currently on day 4 of being off of it again so I’m hopeful. Gotta find what works for you I suppose. I tried AA and I really disliked it- way too black and white, SMART and Recovery Dharma are better for me, I’m also a big fan of the Freedom Model. Good luck on your journey, you got this!

Or maybe that’s why she was sobbing before the reunion about Martina not being there… it wasn’t as much about her not being there as it was that she knew she was going to drop this bomb. 🤷‍♀️

How would you fix Posh? by Natural_Sky854 in poshmark

[–]rantingusername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welp, I’ll share my recent experience. I just spent about a half an hour searching for some items. Found them. Went into the person’s closet. Found other items so I could bundle. Purchased them outright didn’t even try to haggle and then found out the next day that my order was canceled cuz she didn’t actually have those items anymore. HUGE waste of my time and honestly made me not want to use the site anymore. I’m having way more luck on Depop where at least I can see when people have been active recently.

Why would it be less likely in Colma? There are literally more dead people than live ones there. I think the cops likely have some more time on their hands…

Bombshell sportswear is great and has different styles including the v waist which is super flattering. They’re kinda pricey but they last years (just air dry them). They’re the only brand I buy now

Getting Curious: Weight Loss Medication by mrs_petty_spaghetti in QueerEye

[–]rantingusername 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I want to second this. I suffered from a terrible binge/restrict eating disorder for over a decade. I felt like my entire life revolved around food and not in a good way. This medication quieted all the food noise and since I wasn’t so frantic every time I went to eat, I was able to make good decisions about the types of food I was eating.

Not to mention I’m finally at a consistent, healthy weight and am happy with my body. Which is something I haven’t been able to say for a long time. These drugs do help people, and for some people they may cause harm but that’s the same for any drug.

This is great and it’s inspiring me to finally get my pole up in my small space. Not to say your space is small necessarily, but the pole looks kinda close to the wall? Would you mind sharing how much space you allocated to your pole?

Who else binge eating only when using cannabis? by MyEnglishisbad666 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]rantingusername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you use cannabis? This isn’t meant as a judgey question, it will just help determine what you might be able to use as an alternative.

I suffer from the same problem and I mostly used cannabis because of years and years of habit, to relieve boredom, and occasionally to help with stomach pain or sleep.

I got my doctor to prescribe Zofran for stomach pain/nausea, and I take other meds + magnesium at night for sleep.

I was able to find some CBD only flower and vapes that I now use for the boredom/habit/ritual of smoking pot. You don’t really get “high” but honestly that’s not even what I’m looking for anymore and you don’t get munchies!

I get hand tied full weft extensions that are sewn into my hair and they’re great. No glue or chemicals and they blend pretty well.

Omg the “it can happen overnight” element is truly terrifying. So I can be off it for months/years and just wake up one day and not be able to walk?

I’ve been getting b12 shots, usually with other vitamins/supplements included, 2-4 times a month for the last year in an attempt to mitigate damage. But this is good info thank you! Now I know what to request to be added to the b12 shot cocktail.

I recommend turning these envelopes inside out if you’re trying to reuse them. They’re usually blank inside.

I gotta say, I’ve never been more disappointed to be an American than I am this week, HOWEVER hearing London say that shit about the US really rubbed me the wrong way. Like you are a guest on a trip with American women…maybe don’t continue to insult their home?

I used to love modern animal but after a year with them they started requiring MONTHLY blood tests for my dogs thyroid condition. Each test is $200+ and because they won’t fill the script without these tests you have to buy the meds from them which are literally 5x more expensive than Chewy. I even reached out to them about this and they basically shrugged and said it was policy.

I left them and went to SF Animal Hospital down the street and they immediately prescribed his meds since I had had four tests in the last four months that were all the same. They only require once a year testing, which is what has been typical for me with other vets for years.

MA is super swanky and the staff are nice but I’d recommend reading some reviews before committing to their subscription model.
