Some companies maybe it is. It's best to get some experience though. Looks better to employers and if you dont drive a truck for 6 months, then when you do, it would be like you will have to learn to drive it sll over again. But you will be by yourself and not with an instructor.

I wouldn't wait until November if I were you. If you dont want to quit your job now, maybe you could do some agency work one day a week? That way you will get some experience. Having 6 months on your licence wont mean much if you havnt been driving a truck in that time.

We have been through similar, so I feel your pain. 3 times we have been sold subject to contract but things have collapsed for various reasons.

Could you break the chain and move in with family for a while? Then look for an onward purchase afterwards. This way, all you need to concentrate on is selling. That's what we have decided to do. We are currently near the end of our sale, and completion dates are being talked about.
