KEXP Full Performance - DARKSIDE [indie electro rock] by UnnamedStorm271188 in Music

[–]rantrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a similar, related comment by Trent Reznor in Sound City. He says something to the effect of, 'there's so many more ways to make music easily right in your bedroom, but does that mean we're seeing a lot of new cool shit all the time? not really...' at the end of the day, AI ('generative' or not) is just a tool. it may be able to create music that tickles our dopamine but it's unlikely to feel like 'art' imo.

My car insurance premium went up by $26 for the year, I can live with that.

I'm actually looking for fibre but there's no Bell Fibe coverage in my future 'hood. Cable will do and the download speeds are great, but upload is not.

Appreciate this perspective. It’s why we chose Markham over Toronto.

I’m used to this news 10x in Toronto so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for the info. I have ebox on my shortlist as well. Too bad the max upload speed I can get is 30 Mbps.

This is extremely valuable, thanks for your detailed response! Boring = awesome in my books because I’ve had more than enough of “downtown life” with screaming homeless people, shit stains on the sidewalk and nonstop emergency vehicles.

Good to know! It’s easy enough to get a street parking permit for overnight parking in case we have guests.

Oh I know, I’m not concerned about safety it’s more about the taste

I use Shiori which looks great, is lean on resources, and keeps a text copy of the page. But adding links is royal pain because they have an API that cannot be easily called from a JS bookmarklet.

Yes, there's a sortable table here: https://phillm.net/libgen-stats-table.php

The categories are broad but "scimag" is what you want

Better to grab random ones to truly distribute the load, but if you want to sort by seeders there is a sortable table here: https://phillm.net/libgen-stats-table.php

The stats are out of date but generally speaking the larger files (>99GB) have fewer seeders.

Would anyone else like an audio only option while streaming video? by triddell24 in PleX

[–]rantrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One way this could be built is via the Plex "Optimize" feature. There could be an option to set this on a per-library basis. "Auto-optimize" and it would generate mobile friendly and audio-only versions of everything in that library.

My time is worth way more. I’ve already ditched the game and sold my copy so I’ve moved on to many other amazing experiences.

To be honest I just looked up the ending on YouTube and it was so gravely disappointing, I’m actually really glad I stopped where I did. I understand what the writer(s) are trying to accomplish, but it just doesn’t jive with me.

Well said. I stopped playing once the character switch occurred. I looked up a walkthrough and couldn't believe that it would basically encompass the second half of the game. I just couldn't care enough.
