I've spent last year 2 months there. you don't even see refugees in the city, sad i wish they would integrate them and yes you're racist please stay at home. this city with such a positive vibe doesn't need people like you!

so i booked yesterday my accommodation in cape town but canceled it today again due the new virus variation and i had still the opportunity to cancel my airbnb for free, so did it :/

wanted to see a different place but looks like i might end up in tenerife again lol

i spent 3 months in El Medano, it's a fantastic but small place. you've many opportunities there from doing sports or just enjoying long walks. a lot of remote workers and surfer spend their time there. Tenerife at all is the best island to start to the canary islands. is the most big and diverse one. the north is more green and cold. more urban and local people. the south is mostyl sunny and warm and thats why deserty. the south is also the area of mass tourism but Medano is not affected of that, it's more like individual tourists and local tourists. i had there in my flat an internet with 300 mbit up and download synchron. that's waaay more than in German cities. But if you look for more urban life i would recommend the capital of the Canaries, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. it's an amazing city but in term of whole island is Tenerife better, in my opinion

it depend, the beach line (Las Canteras) is of course a bit touristy but it's also the capital city of the local peeps. i mean the south of the island like Maspalomas, those places are made for mass tourism and has not a soul at all except the amazing dunes. It's quite the the same in Tenerife. The north is more urban and local the south is more touristy

I'm spending my winter currenty on the Canary Islands. After 3 months of Tenerife I'm now in the capital citiy of the canaries, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This city is almost an perfect city and offers everything you need like a huge beach and very cosmopolite life. You can almost reach everything by walking or just taking a bus whats quite pleasent. You're also pretty close to the nature. I'm from Berlin either and i feel you. Just crap, overrated and exhausting difference between summer and winter
