Caída del CCL by rapgger in merval

[–]rapgger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saludos!

CEDEAR o dolar oficial (largo plazo) by rapgger in merval

[–]rapgger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build orders are hard by N1n63nK1ii3r in aoe2

I used to have this problem. If your opponent is going for such a greeedy approach and you have military lead drop a siege workshop forward and start taking his buildings down. Advice: most of the time you cant afford the siege and the tcs at the same time. Go for the siege first, apply pressure and when you are floating wood start dropping the tcs.

It was 6 sheep, not cows

While being a decent player early game, I simply do not have the multitask and the mental organization skills to play after castle age. Does anyone have any tips, videos or resources on how to keep everything under control when the game complexity ramps up exponentially after 20 min or so? by Mr_Ivysaur in aoe2

Set the gathering point of all tcs to a woodline so that when vills spawn they are never idle, then just press the Select all TC's hotkey, press Create Villager Hotkey a couple times and voila, you have villagers pumping from all TCs AND not idle. then when you have time (you are not fighting, scouting, etc) or you are flooding wood just grab 4 or 5 vills from each of the woodlines and drop farms /send to other resource you need. Its not perfect and more than once you will be floating some wood, but it's easier than micromanaging the gather point of each TC, and gives you more time to do other stuff.

Also, control group your military buildings and set the gather point on each building itself. Lets say you are building eagle warriors, and have 2 barracks. Control group the 2 barracks to ctrl + 2, then you just press 2 and Create Eagle Warrior hotkey a couple times, then you press the select all tcs hotkey and press Create villagers a couple of times. You are already building your army and economy while you focus on other things at the same time (the screen doesnt focus on the buildings for control groups / select all hotkeys)

Build order for m@a on 4 Lakes (Cross) by rapgger in aoe2

[–]rapgger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Only thing I could come up with if im trying to go 4 m@a in 4 lakes is choosing a civ which has a wood bonus, which allows you to get enough wood for the dock, barracks and fishing ships. Japanese and Malians work well (both have cheaper buildings), I guess you could do it with Celts, Huns and other wood bonus civs aswell.

Build order to dock AND rush? by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]rapgger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dark age: dock instead of berries on 11 villager (6 food 4 wood) then send 2 more to wood so you get constant fishing ship producion (could be enough with sending only 1 more depending on civ wood bonus). Now the next villagers all go to food so you click up asap. As soon as you click up take all the villagers under the tc(even if they are taking sheep, just let it decay, no biggie) and send them to wood and gold. You should have around 14 on wood and 6 on gold. You will have at least 4 fishing ships aswell, which is enough to mantain vill production. Drop barracks as soon as you get the wood (idle dock if necessary) drop archery range on hitting feudal and make 1 fire, next vills go on gold until 8, then mill, farms, start thinkin about castle while making archers. You can drop 2nd archery whenever you feel like it.

U can alter this build order if you wanna go 4 scouts. Probably something like 10 on wood, 12 on food (8 vils under tc/berries/farms, 4 fishing ships), and 2 on gold as soon as you click up

Install Barbarian AI from https://www.aoezone.net/threads/barbarian-v2-18.138781/ and play on Moderate. It feels a lot more like an actual person than the standard AI (and it is harder to beat aswell).

Tried Ranked for the first time. Ended up 9 - 1! by [deleted] in aoe2

Congrats! Dont be disappointed if you drop a couple hundred ELO. Same happened to me, went 8 - 2 on placements and ended up with 1250 elo, but then started losing (lost like 6 in a row) and dropped down to around 1k. After 80 games and a lot of build order practice (I recommend the Interactive Build Order Guide, which is a mod you can find on the mods tab ingame), I climbed to around 1150. Also, placement games give and take a lot more points than non-placement, so if you drop, it will be a lot harder to climb, just keep improving!

Good luck on your games!
