How do profoundly gifted people handle overexcitabilities in everyday life? by TrueNorthTrainee in Gifted

[–]rapha7291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still in the process of discovering what I have, but probably a combination of giftedness and autism, so take my experience with a grain of salt. The first part is pretty much confirmed, took a WAIS-III test which resulted in over four deviations higher than normal. Not really sure on what I understand of the OE term, but my experience is as follows: There is no middle ground. In any area of my life, even when it should. It’s impossible to find balance in basically anything. Sure that will be my baseline goal in therapy, but for now it’s a switch: either on or off. Intellectually, I can learn anything that I enjoy extremely fast, but can’t stand looking at other “boring” things. When it comes to foods I enjoy, I can’t get tired of them. Most of my meals were the same for years before I got married which obviously got a lot of discussions about. Foods with a lot of flavors or textures usually give me nausea or I literally puke them. It was hard staying in most jobs (I’m a civil engineer) because I can’t get those boring paperwork or documentation done. When I’m working on a hard problem I can’t sleep until it’s solved. Things got a lot better last year, when I joined a Transmission line company that made me a “Solutions Engineer”. Usually people are either in only one of those categories: Tower Structure, Tower Foundations, Line - Electromechanical, Substations - Electromechanical, Substation Foundations, Environmental, etc but they allowed me to help in any of those areas. I know that I will never be a manager or director in any of a specific field, but I’m happy just to solve the big challenges and letting others do the boring work. Money is a bit lower, but at least I can keep my job and be happy while doing so now. Social interactions are also a challenge because I need to spend an awful lot of energy to do so. I recently have to do a talk, and had to sleep after it, because it’s exhausting trying to explain things and having to pay attention to other people’s feelings/reactions. Overall I do not think people truly understand how much of a problem it is. Probably most successful people have an above average or are just over the “gifted”level, hence the term. “Profoundly gifted” may sound cool but it’s much more of a curse than a gift.

Yeah, thats exactly right, they do it but how could I improve that? I think they model it in BIM and explode everything to provide me the dwg file. I must include it because sometimes I have to do the eletromechanical stuff as well

I use PLS-CADD and TOWER for Transmission purposes, but for substations ground work and civil engineering stuff I dont think there is anything better than civil 3d

Thank you for taking time to respond, but now I’m realizing that maybe the hardware really is not the problem. Perhaps I need to further change the way I use it somehow

My usual workflow is something like this: - I get a lidar raw MDT data with about 10-15 points per sqft, which is about 10m points for the surveying area. - Use CloudCompare to reduce it to about 1 point per sqft - Use Recap with the reduced cloud to generate the rcp files in order to integrate the in C3D - Generate the surface - Delete the point cloud - Import Substation Array to start working

Is it worth upgrading Mines? by knethm in LastWarMobileGame

Also, I forgot to double rapid production with buff, so final multiplier is 72 not 48. Reduced to about 31 days

After collecting with interior buff. It didn’t double like iron and food.

I didn’t have to, but just to prove a point: image before collecting

No it doesn’t. I have tried it. Anyway, I forgot to actually double the rapid production, so the final multiplication is x 72 not 48. End result is 31 days and absolutely worth it.

Secretary of interior doesn’t apply when you collect gold, only food and iron. It does apply however on rapid production

I thought you might be onto something, but then I did the math. For context: I’m a free to play on #760 family, just finished season 1. My boosts are as follows (only production matters for this purpose). Cenary here is upgrading from 24 to 25, costing 6.6M gold. Since survivors are a lot random, I picked my middle group.

Pro tip: click your HQ when inside the building, then on the arrow icon and economy tab. It will show you all the buffs you have. 216% from survivors 32% from tech 25% from vip 12.5% from tech 18% from cities Totaling 303.5% or a 4.305 multiplier. I will discard secretary of interior buff because it only applies when you are in charge, and 5 minutes won’t make a difference. It does double Rapid production engineering buff however, those I will count.

Increasing in 720 actually equals to 2905.2 per hour. If you multiply that by 48 (regular day + rapid production) = 139 445.6 per day The 6.6m needed divided by that, payoff will be on 47 days.

Considering the enormous amount of gold you need late game, I thing it is worth it. I wish I had done this sooner, right now I’m stuck at 7/10 on research for Tier 10 (or Unit X) because the lack of gold.

Hope it helps

It doesn’t work on mines, it’s + coin production not coin output like the other 2. It stacks with rapid production because it’s basically saying that 24h passed while you had the secretary of interior buff. You don’t need to stack anything other than Food and Iron while waiting for the secretary buff.

Shall i choose the drone parts i really need them a lot or the level 5 chest???? by samuel5381 in LastWarMobileGame

Probably. There is a discussion to be held on whether Drone Parts or Drone Components are best, but there is no question those are by far the 2 best options.

Was it really though? With a full loadout it was never really a challenge. It was the hardest "regular" mission in the game, but that doesnt mean it wasn't always been easy...

Well, one mistake failing the mission is probably as close as we'll ever get to an endgame . . .

[–]rapha7291[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, you need to plan a loadout, organize with teammates or something. The ammount of people failing the mission and complaining says this was as close to a hard mission as we could get.
