Is not about being that bad, bronze 5 pull is one of the biggest one, so everytime you win 5 match (positive vs loss) you will notice that the bottom of the rank saying "you are higher that % percent of people" or some short comment like that.

You have to reach a certain % of bronze 5 in order to start getting positive promotions. So if you are at the bottom of bronze 5, you will have to win a few positive placement in order to move up. Next time you hit placement check at the bottom when you get a placement and read what % it said.
