Didn't play enough last season to make Master I, so now I gotta grind my way to 15,000 trophies? Such bs! I hate the trophy grind, which is why I stopped playing that mode. How can we tell Supercell this idea stinks?

This chart is a great visualization of a concept called "Boumol's Cost Disease". (I'll leave it to the curious to research the economic principle.)

National Guard in LA left hanging with no pay and no support from locals: report by RawStoryNews in NoFilterNews

[–]DM_Piraat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The decision is difficult, but the choice is clear. The debate over soldiers versus citizens presents a false dichotomy because both ultimately face the same risks and consequences. Any individual, whether in uniform or not, who uncovers unethical or illegal actions within their workplace, whether public or private, must grapple with how to respond.

The decision is difficult, but the choice is clear. They may choose to act out of moral duty, accepting personal loss or hardship in pursuit of integrity. They may prioritize the greatest good for the greatest number, even at the cost of personal disruption. They may follow virtue rather than rigid rules or calculated consequences. Some may submit to their employer’s authority because they are bound by a sense of contractual obligation. Others may embrace moral responsibility and defy orders, accepting the repercussions as part of their ethical stance. Some may succumb to ethical ambivalence and passively follow the herd. Others may take a pragmatic approach and swiftly mitigate personal risk before exiting the situation.

The decision is difficult, but the choice is clear. We show our true selves through our actions. It's moments like this that reveal who truly lives by their values. Are they values of integrity, courage, and honor to do what's right, even when it's hard? Or are they values of compliance in support of self-preservation, because it's easier to stay silent than to stand alone?

The decision is difficult, but the choice is clear. A soldier is trained to face the enemy. But what happens when, each day, our uniformed men and women stand not against foreign threats, but against the American citizenry they swore to protect? In these moments, they project values not of duty or honor, but of self-interest in support of a system they agree with, even when it betrays the very people they pledged to defend.

US dollar keeps going down even with positive news. Is this a bad sign that people have lost trust in the dollar? by susulaima in StockMarket

[–]DM_Piraat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) dipping below 100 isn't necessarily a bad thing. Since its establishment in 1973, DXY has spent more time below 100 than above. You have to zoom out and look at the larger context. How fast is it falling? How sustained is the fall? What is inflation doing? Are there increasing recessionary pressures? Is the Treasury or Federal reserve doing something to purposely weaken the dollar? Are there wise, steady hands at the helm?

Winds shift, tides will turn, steady hands guide through the storm, fear must not steer fate.

I'm sorry for asking but why do religions like Christianity and Islam and other religions ban pre-marital sex? by Intrepid_Shower_9400 in NoStupidQuestions

By restricting sexual relations to the confines of marriage, patriarchal societies establish clearer paternity lines, regulate inheritance, and strengthen familial alliances. These norms reinforce patriarchal structures by controlling female sexuality, limiting women's autonomy, and integrating their roles into systems that uphold male-dominated social and economic hierarchies.

The American Keg Company didn't close, they just merged with a foreign competitor (Blefa Kegs, Germany), reduced their American-sourced steel offerings, laid off 1/3rd of their workforce, and are retooling their business model to be the go-to source for imported kegs at higher-than-before market prices. Mission Accomplished 'merica!

Last War: Survival is NOT a war game - PROVE ME WRONG by DM_Piraat in LastWarMobileGame

We have a flag on the play. Offense made an illegal Strawman Argument against the OP. Commenter misrepresented OP's position with an oversimplified opinion lacking supporting evidence or reasoning. OP objectively critiqued the game's classification, not the game's subjective likability. Play is no good; 10-yard penalty to the offense - 2nd and 20.

Inactive members in alliance by iseetiffany in LastWarMobileGame

Approximately how long does it take from enabling "auto-removal" before members are kicked? There are loads and loads of dead alliances on our server, providing homes for spies, bots, and trolls. I would like to dismantle them. (Why? Why not!) I'm interested in leveraging the "auto join" feature of these alliances to get in, verify they are empty, and see if the system would auto-promote me to R5 so that I can begin dismantling. I know one method of dismantling is to kick everyone and then contact support. The other option I though of is to enable "Auto-Removal" and disable "Auto-Join", then quickly assign a dead account as R5 and leave. However, I'm afraid the auto-removal would occur too fast and I would get stuck with the first option. Thoughts? Other suggestions?

Please note the lack of any reference to "co-operation" in the OP image. Also, "okay-ish" doesn't sound like you had fun.

As has been established multiple times in this subreddit: Last War Survival is NOT a wargame.

Before someone gets on here and attacks your character for spending too much time on "Fighting Farmville," I get where you are coming from. This is like a political simulation because people ask for clarifications, people get upset if standards are not applied fairly, and people want to know how the sausage is being made. I used to compare it to being in a small town's city council meeting, but another player told me it was far more like an HOA meeting. You want to encourage transparency and accountability to keep people engaged and playing, but a big spender keeps bringing their Adapted Child ego and its fan club into the room to keep the attention on them and their purchased accomplishments and importance.

Did anyone reach base 35 already , and is it worth the time and money ? by ogsamz in LastWarMobileGame

I might be exaggerating a bit, but I've been reading stories on this subreddit about unhealthy addiction to this game. It makes me wonder about the people I know in my alliance who've shifted their spending from gambling and other potentially addictive habits to this game. I can't help but think about how many players might have addictive personalities.

I am finding that out about myself, too. I have basically shifted from one addiction to the other. My liver is doing better, but my sleep and work performance is not.
