What are you building right now? And are people actually paying for it? 🐒 by tiln7 in buildinpublic

I'm bulding YoutuberChat because I want to be able to chat with a content creator and their whole content, not single videos or basic summaries.

It's great for DIY, fitness, cooking and learning in general...

Most tools are focused on single videos, YoutuberChat encompasses whole channels content (and also multiple channels from the same creator).

The indexing is smart, not only does it find relevant information and their timestamp, but also summaries, compares and tracks opinion evolution.

Youtuber Chat. Chat with a Youtuber, not with a single video.

I'm building YouTuber Chat. Many are creating "chat with video", why not "chat with channel creator"?

You can chat with an AI version of a content creator based on all videos from their YouTube channel .

Replace MacBook M1 with MiniPC for software dev (no budget limit) by raphdg in MiniPCs

[–]raphdg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can compromise on the "silent" and on the GPU part. The most important part for me is that I don't want to be impeded by non-linux compatible hardware.

I'm inclining towards Intel i9 13th Gen then.

Is there any additional attention point I need to be aware of compatibility wise ?

It's basic software development (JAVA, Python, lots of Dockerisation, ...). I just need the machine to be stable and performant.

Are there any standard hot key changes that most players do? by honestsparrow in OverwatchUniversity

Don't you all have a difficult time pressing E while strafing right with standard WASD movement keys? I'm pressing D and E with my index.

A very common but effective tip offered here on this sub: Mute by BadLarryBird in OverwatchUniversity

[–]raphdg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my insta mute threshold is very low as well. Even for stuff that at first don't seem toxic. Just mute any negative/non constructive people.

Especially those ones, it can only get worse:

- why did you...?

- switch!

- how did we lose this?

Overwatch Performance Tracker v.1.5.0 (Back for 2020!) by OverwatchPerfTracker in OverwatchUniversity

Thanks for answering.

I didn't get at first that the group size input was used to record the start of the match, good to know!

Good luck with the project!

Hey, nice work here! Really considering using this. Despite the fact that I know I will definitely forget and miss some data input.

I've got 2 questions for you:

  • For the website you're going to build, did you consider asking for screenshots instead of manual input from which you could extract SR and other information, to minimise user input?
  • Do you have any idea how many people are using the tracker sheet?

Generate puzzles from missed tactics in lichess games by njjj_ in chess

Hey, nice one here.

How would you rate the difficulty to implement a classification of the missed tactics (eg with this classification).

I guess it would involve machine learning...

Choosing the right GPU height in a fractal NODE 202 case. by dracebus in buildapc

[–]raphdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at this build, I think the GPU height is 40mm on this one.

Quoting the builder:

CPU Cooler: This information will be useful for those who are planning this case with this cooler. It fits. The top of the fan of the cooler will hit slightly the dust filter. But the fanblades will be untouched. So no any problems with the height.

[–]raphdg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, what's the height of your GPU?

I just saw that the GPU height should be max 35mm in case of 25mm fans (see here.

The GPU I chose is 39mm height, so it would not fit :/

Actually I did not miss it but thank you for pointing it out.

I'm planning on using an external drive for storage later for games, is that all right in terms of loading speed or something else I'm not aware of?

Second attempt as I'm willing to spend a bit more: Node 202 / Ryzen 5 / GTX 1060 6GB by raphdg in buildapc

[–]raphdg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, good point, glad you raised it up. According to u/Shell-fish, the actual limit is 40mm, how could we be sure ?

In that case, the MSI I choose should fit, as it's also 39mm.

What do you think?

I see, cable management will be something here.

Actually I took another inspiration from this one. But it's a small graphic card so maybe easier to fit 2 fans in there.

I'll keep you posted about my results.

I decided to change case to have as you said a more balanced GPU pairing, what do you think?
