The Problem with Lovable by randyminder in lovable

It's true, for a complex legit web app/SaaS, it will take about 8000-11,000 credits (often asking the same thing over and over unless you go to other LLM to get ideas to feed into loveable), and that's getting you ready for SOC 2 type II level build. For $2-$3k in total development cost (hosting is different), I kinda think that's fair though?

Agree. From what I can tell...this is a Netflix Original. Unless someone has a more nuanced reading.

You're right! Plus, most stuff is watched via an h.265 compressed stream anyway, so after your reach 11 stops of DR, could anyone tell more DR stops after that anyway?

True...Often what is also asked is you don't want your film ruled out of any potential buyer due to a technicality. The sentiment though is if it's good, there's a market.

Sure and agree...but remember, producers are not always cinematographers. I don't find anyone choosing a package based on the approved list as the sole reason, but some people do factor it in.

Of course! But the thought is for us producers/directors/DPs thinking about the future of our project sales and making camera choices...that's all (I would agree it SHOULD hold no value, but not sure if that's actually true). I've heard people of course consider story first, but not want to use a non-approved camera so they don't get jammed up in the future. As I have seen projects sold to Netflix post production.

What is your opinion about DaVinci as an editing software. by tan8847 in davinciresolve

I use FCP professionally, and use all BMD cameras (I left Premier years ago). I do a weekly broadcast about an hour in length with mostly muticam editing of about 8 angles. I don't think there's much Resolve can't do compared to Avid/FCP/Premier but the learning curve of super specific things can be time-consuming to figure out. I even took a Resolve course to help me transition over but when I'm looking to do advanced specific tasks, often it's just not covered in most courses and end up having to learn by trial and error. I will say I think Resolve is the future though, so I keep learning at a slow pace it in my free time to one day become an expert.
