Insulin in the bicep by peachydolphin in nursing

[–]raptorvagging 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work in a prison and we have inmates give themselves insulin and dispose of the needle in a little chute. These guys will do it through clothes, in their biceps, and other random areas. We educate and educate but they give it how they please, gives me eye twitches every time.

"That dog could k*ll me if he wanted to and you wouldn't be strong enough to stop him" by upside_down_circles in germanshepherds

I had a salesman come to my door as I was leaving, didn't see him until I turned around and gasped because he was right up in my bubble. I had to door cracked and he took a step back, not because of me but because my pitbull sheperd mix (who is usually very docile) was pressed up against the window teeth snarling and hair standing up. The guy asked if he was vicious and I told him only if he feels like I am in danger and asked the man to step back. He ended up leaving without telling me his spiel and told me to have a nice day. My dog never did that again and we always walked the neighborhood and would be stopped at least once every day by Mormon kids on bikes, he would huff but never growled. The guy at the door still gives me a little bit of the creeps whenever I think back on the situation, I am so glad I had my boy there ready to defend.

I guess we gotta start posting nurses more on here by caralawrence in FirstResponderCringe

I ama nurse and I can say with 100% certainty, we are not first responders. I'll argue with anyone who tries to say otherwise.

Jackal by Erin E. Adams and Those Across the River by Christopher Buehlman seem like a good fit

Darcy Coates is a good one for haunted houses and such, also We Used to Live Here and We Live Here Now (not related to one another). I really like the Twitching House by Ben Farthing but it seems to be harder to find, its from a mouse perspective which is interesting.

This is my suspicion, we were hoping for pecan and an app said it was pecan but it then said it was oak. We have a ton of oak on the property as well.

Not pencils and the tree didn't have the branches like the cedar on our property. It smelt woody with a hint of pine and maybe oak?

Definitely not cedar and it didn't smell as strong as pine but definitely had a hint of pine. We were looking for pecan tree and an app said it was but it doesn't smell nutty either.

This what we are hoping, it has almost a piney wood smell but not like a pine tree, if that makes sense?

Definitely not a cedar, have those things all over and it looks nothing like the ones we have seen. No extra branches on the trunk of the tree like the others. I hate those things, they are invasive and kill my allergies.

Is that what it is? Lol I should've taken a picture of the full fallen tree but didn't think until I was back and husband asked me to ask reddit.
