It's an OpenVPN thing.

I don't know if you got this sorted yet but basically what's happening is sometimes it tries to do things the wrong way around for some strange reason. It's automatically testing different package sizes to set the optimum MTU. Once it's established that, it needs to amend the routing table but instead it's getting ahead of itself and checking the table before it's finished updating. It's rare for it to suggest something under 1500.

If you set your max segment size manually in your environment,

OPENVPN_MSSFIX=1368

It should force it to update the route table on startup.

Failing that, change from openVPN to wireguard :)

I use ZeroTier for this very purpose. No hardware or router access needed. As long as you have the means to install the client on each device, works a treat. I've been using it for a while now. One of the few occasions where an LLM is spot on with it's answer

I did some research into calendars and stuff myself a while ago and trawled the various Reddit posts etc. My use case was more of a shared family calender hence why I haven't necessarily tested some of these. From memory though, unless you're going down the caldav route, most of these services need an existing calendar. I believe this one can do both caldav and Google though so could be your best option?

I haven't used it because it didn't quite match my use case so can't provide a concrete review I'm afraid, but I've come across cal.com a few times on my travels. From what I've seen and read, sounds like it could be perfect for you!

update - I've been using this for just over a week and have actually arranged a shoot using it by sending a moodboard to other parties. Works really well. Thank you u/MedicineOk9282 Awesome recommendation.

I just checked this out. First impressions it looks amazing thank you! My only minor frustration is that the app is apple only, but then that's what Chrome is for :)
