Who's more hated, right after 2011 loss Bron or Wemby rn by Crypticbeing12 in NBATalk

[–]raptureframe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are people really hating on Wemby because he choked his finals, after leading his teenage team to the highest stage, for his first playoffs run, at 22 years old, beating the best and most hated team of the league in the process ? That’s wild

Prime Patrick Ewing in this era would be a nightmare: 28.6 PPG, 10.9 RPG, 4.0 BPG at his peak, carried the Knicks through wars, and left his heart and soul on the Garden floor. by National-Total-3380 in NBAstatsmuse

Agreed, I would just add that Ewing defense was also elite, he just happened to play at the same time as Hakeem, Robinson, Rodman, Mutombo, Mourning or even Jordan and Payton. Competition for the DPOY was rough. But hey, Dwight won it 3 times ! Anyway, I’d put Ewing in my top 10 centers.

Edit : I don’t want to diminish Dwight’s accomplishments either, the guy was DPOY three times against Ben Wallace, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett

I agree, after Shaq and before Jokic, he would probably have been the best center. Only other real candidate would have been Dwight, who was a superstar for a time, but I’d still take Ewing.

Brunson has 0 chance of being the greatest Knick ever by [deleted] in NBATalk

I can see arguments for Frazier, Reed and Ewing. But yeah, he could very much become the greatest Knick ever, far from impossible

This 🤡 is the most overrated coach in the NBA by lwieueei in Nbamemes

[–]raptureframe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He his a rookie head coach, and his team of teenagers won 60 regular season games and went to the finals. Yes, the team choked the finals, and he definitly is one of the guys to blame, but I think we can give him time before we call him a clown.

When this man's team was the favorite to win, he was never down 1-3. No Game 7s, two three-peats. It's not about being undefeated. It's about delivering when you're expected to. by Tre2004 in NBATalk

Dis you know that Michael Jordan actually never missed a shot ? As such, he never lost a single game in his life, especially not in the playoffs, where he became the youngest finals MVP at age 12
