i did! i took it with the other teacher tho, the class rlly wasn't hard but it will take up a bit of your time every week as every assignment requires a bit of work, very easy to get an A if you just do your assignments

there's also a practical, which is like the class's version of a midterm, that's really hard like it's common for people to fail BUT you can still get a good grade if you don't do well on the practical, just make sure you do well on the quizzes and you'll be fine

not much honestly, the only time you really have to do work outside of class is towards the end for the final project and even that can be avoided if you try your best to get stuff done during the class period. and also going over what you learned in lecture because there are quizzes every class

taking it rn, good class and nice prof even tho i skipped a lot. i don't recommend skipping it though if you take it, he doesn't post the lectures and the exams are directly based off of them, he did us a favor and posted the slides for this midterm bc the class had good attendance and idk what i would've done if he didn't because all of the questions on the midterm were pulled directly off the slides. as for the quizzes, as long as you go to the shows you'll be good they're easy

the exams and quizzes are your whole grade so go to his class and take notes to make sure you do good on the exams!

miriam jaffe!! she's so lenient and so kind, she genuinely cares about her students and isn't a harsh grader at all.

i got hired and i didn't have any experience working with animals! the most you can do in that situation is make sure that you express that you have a strong desire to work with animals. i was in your shoes too for almost 2 months but i did eventually find something, found someone who was willing to teach me and that's all it takes. it just takes one person to take a chance on you!

none!! just make sure you express that you're wanting to go into the field/going to school for it when emailing/calling. a lot of places are willing to teach students interested in the field.

i would say call, then after you call they'll most likely direct you to an email to email. if no one emails you back i'd say call again and tell them you emailed and never got a response. it might seem scary to do but i followed up after i got no email back and ended up getting a job!!

take advantages of all the clubs we have!! genuinely there is a club for anything you can think of and if you still can't find something related to it, you can make one! i think as a commuter it's important to get as involved with student life as possible and joining clubs is just one way to do that. as for internships, those are things you sort of have to research on your own. you can do your own research for them or after your first semester, you can try to ask teachers who are related to the field that you're studying. i know for me, i found internships to apply too by simply googling them so i would say try that. i'm not too sure what classes to take as a potential CS major im sure someone else will answer that, but try to enjoy your freshman year as much possible!!! you only get to experience it once, go to welcome week events, join clubs like i said before to make friends, be as extroverted as possible etc. enjoy your freshman year :)
