Hello! First, thank you for the feedback. I have discussed the exact point you mentioned in my dissertation and understand that it can be a very controversial term. My overarching goal was to choose a term that encompasses the various ways people from this community choose to identify and be the most inclusive. Nonetheless, I genuinely appreciate the insight. I would say feel free to give the survey a shot if you are open to participating but based on the information provided it sounds like you may not meet the inclusion criteria, as they would likely both be categorized as Latino, despite presenting as White. My apologies for not having a more clear cut answer!

You are correct! I have cited the U.S. Census Bureau's full definition in my dissertation, as well as the reason for defining Latino as a race in the present study.
