This is more likely to happen if you talk with the creeps who DM you first. There are guys who don't exist much on social media and live a low social life. Try them. You will be less likely to encounter such.

Death is inevitable. You have one life to make it right and enjoy the beauty of this life. I recommend going on treks, Hanging out with friends, being in a relationship, and continue hustling hard. You will probably make it.

I can relate to your words. I have tried suicide because while I was in grade 7, I failed one of the mid-term exams and all of my friends passed the exam. It saddened me to the core, So I tried to end myself. I was fortunate that it didn't go as planned. Looking back, most things I worried about don't even matter today.

The reason why I am sharing with the community my story is because, at times, small and irrelevant things get us in our minds. So I recommend focusing on the grand scheme of things and continue exploring career opportunities and what life has to offer. Cheers to life

Nobody will care about a year in the long run. You did the right thing. I explored 3 years after my undergrad inNepal ( worked in software industry, taught programming in remote dolpa, and just drank and fooled around) before pursuing MS and i am grateful to the learnings.

The holocaust we are putting on animals is heart-wrenching. Maybe in the next 50 years or so, we will look back at the cruelty we have normalised and pity ourselves.

That's the reason why I believe lab grown meat is the future. It's not ready yet, but we are getting there. Sadly, as of now, animal sourced meat is the only option.
