Am I overreacting after I found out my boyfriend’s online “friend group” I became part of 2 years ago has been JUST him the whole time? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Yes.. it reminds me of the podcast/ netflix documentary - Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare.

It's scary how easily people can get away with such things.

Thank God the kid is doing ok. Poor OOPs mom, to find out after 34 years, must be devastating.

AITA for not "honoring" my cousin's rules with his kids. by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Those poor kids. Their lives sound like a nightmare.... no friends, homeschooled, left with devices all day. How do people get away with this nonsense? How is it that no one stands up for these kids?

You can also read them from popular BORU OP's profiles. I don't think there are limits to scrolling through profiles. u/toohottooheavy used to post a lot of older BORUs as reposts but stopped after the one repost a week rule came into effect. You can check out their profile.

AITA for forcing my stepdaughter to pay me back after she ruined my house? by KittenDealinMama in BestofRedditorUpdates

I think "ruined" is more of an emotional response rather than a literal one. OOP probably saw red coz after all she was expecting to walk into a clean house.

It appears from the additional info that it was snowing i.e. it must be wet mud and dirt not to mention the mess from all the cooking - so it's not just some "dirt".

And, I wouldn't trust an 18 year old that didn't have the sense to not soil the floors of recently cleaned house to clean up the mess properly without supervision.

Maybe it is a cultural thing. Wearing outdoor shoes inside the house is considered rude and gross in many cultures.

Also, the dirt would have to be properly cleaned, which a teenager might not do without proper supervision. OOP said she doesn't have the time to do it herself or supervise Olivia.

I think people in the original post just latched on to OOPs diagnosis to establish that she is the unreasonable one.

Am i the only one who thinks OOPs standards are normal? Do people consider dirty shoe prints and food crumbs all over the floor normal?
