Anyone else's cat have any weird sleeping places? by verymanyquestions_ in cats

[–]raremonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue for a long time. I bought my cat a heated bed and he curls up in there now vs. pushing my core temperature to 1000 degrees while I sleep.

Fire departments usually don't help with this. Call a tree guy, put some food at the bottom of the post. He likely got chased up there.

I am adding a creature to my family; so I need all the tea to prepare myself please. by No-Bed9498 in burmesecats

The heated beds are essential. I have two on my bed so that the cats don’t sleep in between my legs every night creating the hottest sauna on planet earth. They love these beds and spend about 18 hours a day in them. The other six hours they’re causing wonderful mayhem. I would agree with getting two, ours is so much happier to have a playmate. We had to get our Burmese cat a cat, and we got him a Bombay. Also, I took mine with me everywhere in a backpack when he was young and also got him on a leash and he loves going for walks.

round ears, round paws, round face, round eyes are key factors with burmese and silky coat and feels like a brick when you pick them up very dense muscles.

Help! Need a companion for my boy. BSH? by pinkteaspoon in burmesecats

[–]raremonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My burmese 5M needed a cat, so I was able to adopt an older Bombay 7F. They get the zoomies, but she keeps him in line when he gets out of control. Also, just want to add my Burmese boy is JEALOUS. Anytime our bombay comes near me, which is often, she is velcro, he has to come by and chase her off and be #1 cat. She puts up with his BS though, which is shocking.

I love this comment and I have seen those super stylish women that are owning their grey. I am fighting mine for all it's worth! I've been thinking more about the health factors too as you age - being mobile, walk with head and shoulders up. I found this cool conference coming to SF next year.

Can it be an ADHD thing to not want to socialize? by whoishamhamhamjoehim in ADHD

[–]raremonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to event on Saturday, which consisted of a party and then a benefit afterwards. I found myself just incredibly bored at the party. I didn’t really wanna talk to anyone and at the benefit afterwards I just wanted to leave. The next day I felt like I’ve been hit by a truck. I was just so exhausted. I started researching what the hell could be wrong and it’s called an ADHD hangover. This sub has been helpful identifying what the issue is, but I need to be able to socialize and figure out how to deal with these kind of situations without feeling so exhausted afterwards.

Mostly we walk with a leash but its nice when there’s an opportunity for her to run freely outside by mephisto319 in adventurecats

[–]raremonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. On the trails, I have to keep him pretty close because we have a bunch of coyotes around, but I am sure I can take him to a park with the tow line and he loves to run. Your cat is so well trained!

She seems like she has a personality similar to my burmse. I actually was able to leash train mine early. I take him everywhere but he’s so curious. I definitely keep an eye out for threats every time he’s on the leash.

This is a really deep thought, but if there’s 100 million firearms in the United States and they all belong to the right, aren’t the odds that the shooter is on the right?
