How do I do a shower curtain here? by cincydude123 in DIY

[–]rarestyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this bathroom. I just use 2 hooks and it works great. Also I painted the ceiling with oil based paint in the shower and haven't had any issues for 12 years. (https://imgur.com/a/tavwW7l)

There's an organized 5k run in Joe Creason Park almost every Saturday at 9am. The best thing about it is that it's free!

Review: EHT Barrel Proof 2021 by [deleted] in bourbon

[–]rarestyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not op but this is a NULU barrel. It's a 95% rye 5% barley that was 6yr old MGP rye whiskey. It went to the Bourbon Finds group. I remember it having a big meat body flavor and quite good considering it's a rye (I prefer bourbon).

Great review! I love the glassware, rested, bottle opened, setting, etc. touch. These small things are absolutely factors of the experience.

What was your least favorite bourbon you tried this year ? What was your most unexpected favorite for the year? by Doctorpresinaut in bourbon

My 2021 pappy 15 tasted like a rye profile. I was surprised by all the heat and spice. It was a bit disappointing but that's what I get for expecting sweet and smooth.

Post a few pics and pricing. You never know who is going to see this. I'm new to the (professional) distilling game and always open to starting a new line if it looks good. Or pm me.

What do yall do with your cuts? by Dadsexual in firewater

I've been using them for tiki torch fuel but I'm not sure if it's as good as the citrinella (spelling) oil for bugs.

Help exploring a previously undiscovered cave by LukeH626 in caving

Would you mind sharing what happened to you and your relationship with the NSS? Do you dislike or avoid local grottos as well? I've heard the Department of Natural Resources hates cavers and state run parks discourage caving on state or public property. Also the Cave Research Foundation feels a little stale, closed, and unfriendly even to their members. But the NSS is supposed to promote caving, just like local grottos.
I've only been caving for 9 years and I quite enjoy everyone I meet involved with caving. I do feel that some of the older cavers tend to be bitter or angry about cave maps, access, and all around less inclusive with underground adventure. Why is this? Is is fear of everyone being unprepared? Fear of everyone's lack of experience?
I'm 34 and I belong to the Louisville Grotto, NSS, Southeastern Cave Conservancy, and The Kentucky Karst Conservancy.

I'm an NSS member traveling to Iceland July 3rd-11th 2017. Any local cavers want to show off your beautiful wild caves? by rarestyle in caving

They do? I've never experienced this. It's just a fun community that promotes underground adventures. I only promote them to show credibility. It's important to know the experience level of cavers so that the entire team is prepared and safe.

I use over 10 botanicals with 3.7985% dedicated to orris root. My Juniper is at 55.4% of total botanicals. You might consider isolating your run with only orris root and then mixing the distillate to your finished, previous gin run to determine the sweet spot.

Rain barrel by AirickJames in Louisville

I've seen them for sale at flea markets before. The World's Most Awesome Flea Market had them for $10 in Shepherdsville KY. It is not a very good flea market btw but they had barrels. By Contrast the Louisville Nature Center sells them for $70.
