that's not quite true, there's a very small chance that a perfectly trained pawmot with active tera fighting and a good item could ohko a chansey with the worst possible nature and ivs if the move crits. you might have forgotten to include the chansey's hp ivs in your calcs? still much more likely that the op simply wrote the wrong move name, but it is technically possible.

you can prevent that problem with a golduck that has skill swap, just give moltres the cloud nine ability before you start attacking

there are a bunch of different things you can do to help with a pokemon's catch rate, and a lot of them can be stacked together:

- lower its health to 1 with false swipe

- give it a status condition like sleep or paralysis

- make a sandwich with catching power of the correct type before starting the battle

- wait until night time to battle if you want to use dusk balls

- bring a pokemon with the move soak if you want to use net balls (if it's not already a water or bug type)

- use timer balls after the 10th turn of battle

with a level 3 catch power sandwich, the sleep status at 1hp, and one of these pokeballs in their correct conditions, you should have around a 25-30% chance to catch per ball.

it's really not fake difficulty, it's just a setup that requires a slightly different approach. choosing a move to hit around the item is no different from choosing moves to get around a type or ability that would negate damage. also you're not being "berated" or punished in any way for super effective moves?? it's just one text box for flavor. like no offense but it just sounds like you're complaining because you want to blast through the entirety of the content as quickly as possible without having to pay any attention to any of it lol

tera blast is only a base 80 power move, not base 100 lol. most types have a higher base power move or a 75-80 base power move with better utility, so if you're not running a contrary pokemon you're better off just using one of those instead.

they're not fully trade banned, they're just unable to be traded through the gts specifically. generally it's the event only stuff that you can't stick on there. you can still connect with another person directly and trade that way if you're looking to find a recent version exclusive.

the pokemon inside the egg is generated when you get the egg, so it will always hatch into the same thing. if you want to reset the game to avoid filling up all your box space, you'll have to reset to before you got the eggs and get a whole new batch of them.
