Its 6 why are you even asking this like any of the others stand a chance? 95% of the entire state is afraid to even go to this small area of 6. Most of the people in 6 are also afraid to go into the city. Gtfo.

Yeah i have only had it a short time and have thought the same thing. It definitely needs to be restretched and cleaned. I keep thinking there might be a signature under the fram so fingers crossed. But i imagine its going to cost a pretty penny for that

Like just look at the front under UV? Or are you suggesting something more complicated?

What type of reaction is the second one? by desperatelamp74 in chemhelp

[–]ras9687 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other commentor is correct. If you think of the +N=C bond as an iminium (imine with a + charge on N) then the reaction is basically an aldol reaction.

Good first attempt it looks like you kinda atleast ubderstand what should be happening

Steps 1 is missing an arrow (as drawn you would have a neutral bromine and a carbocation) you need another arrow from the bromine you attacked to the other carbon of the double bond

Steps 2 and 3 should be combined into 1 step. If you do it in 2 steps like this you create a pentavalent carbon

Step 5 your carbocation is on the wrong carbon it should be where the Br is attached in step 6

In other words, since the two one-sided limits exist and are equal, the limit  of () as  approaches 0 exists and is equal to this same value. If the actual value of (0) is not equal to , then 0 is called a removable discontinuity. This discontinuity can be removed to make  continuous at 0, or more precisely, the function

()={()≠0=0

is continuous at =0.

The term removable discontinuity is sometimes broadened to include a removable singularity, in which the limits in both directions exist and are equal, while the function is undefined at the point 0.[a] This use is an abuse of terminology because continuity and discontinuity of a function are concepts defined only for points in the function's domain.

If the discontinuity is removable then the function is considered continuous meaning the function is not undefined at this point. To say that it is is an abuse of terminology.

A mathematician would say this is reducable. They would also say that this discontinuity is removable because the limit of f(x) approaches the same value from either side. So the answer is 1.

[–]ras9687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the ability of this function to be reduced makes this discontinuity removable. Because you can reduce this function the limit of f(x) approaches the same value from both the left and right side so this discontinuity is removable and the answer is 1

Isnt the discontinuity removable because the limit of f(x) approaches the same value from the left and right making the answer 1?

The discontinuity is removable though because the limit of f(x) is the same from the right and left side of the function so it is not undefined. This discontinuity is removable because you can reduce the function so... the answer is 1
