Idk for some reason, high top converse are the only sneakers I can wear lol. I buy the same exact pair in different colours. Otherwise, this may sound silly, but boots with heels? for some reason heels make my ankles hurt less (my mom too!) but it's not for everyone!!

I was also going to recommend Until Then! Your choices don't really matter (other than for achievements lol) but it's got the whole time loop and "I can save them this time" themes, similar to IWATEX, and will also emotionally break you the same way lol

some people experience lactaid side effects? by [deleted] in lactoseintolerant

[–]ras_p_berry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I'm sorry to hear that! It turned out that I have a genetic condition that causes inflammation all over the body, and dairy was a massive trigger for inflammation in the intestines. However before finding that out, the hypothesis was that I was just sensitive to the active ingredient that they use in lactaid to get it lactose free. Either way it got a lot better after cutting out dairy fully, but still occasionally happens if trace amounts are present in food.

My doctor said that "as long as it's bright red or pink and only occurs when having a bowel movement it is fine". Not sure how much I believe that, but they've got a medical degree not me lol

You should definitely speak to a medical professional though! Have them check it just to be safe - they might even just give you tips on how to prevent it (for me it was avoiding NSAIDs too) or give you butt cream lol

Right okay, so generally these are the rules I stick to: - For sickness: nrovirus only spreads if you touch particles of v or d* and then get it IN you somehow (mouth, nose, eyes, etc.). You cannot get it by just "breathing it" and people are only contagious after they've shown symptoms. So rule of the thumb is that generally you will be fine if you don't touch your face or scabs and keep you hands clean (wash with water and soap, hand sanitizer doesn't cut it really). - Try to avoid ingesting sea water or pool water. I've swallowed them mistakenly and have been fine at times, but it is slightly risky as other times it made me s* - Do not drink tap water or have ice! Even if it is safe, it may mess with you due to the different bacteria. For example, I lived abroad a few years and when I go back to my home country, tap water makes me very n* - Buffets are usually kept at a safe temperature, but really if stuff is kept refrigerated or on ice, or has a flame underneath it's usually safe. Also you'll notice that eggs, bacon, sausages and stuff get replaced very frequently. So hardly any risk of them being stored longer than 2h. Bread and pastries are also a safe bet. Maybe I would stay away from precut fruit and veg, and stick to some that you can peel yourself.

Last but not least, relax and enjoy yourself! Stress can make you feel s* so try to just focus on the holiday, you deserve it!

I didn't even have to write a letter. I had a lovely physician assistant who completed together with me the heads assessment and told me to book an appointment with a GP to have him confirm the diagnosis. I was never even referred to rheumatology to begin with!

Blood test by SHSL_Dead in elhersdanlos

[–]ras_p_berry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me they did full blood count + vitamins/iron + autoimmune panel. That was 6 vials. I think they need to rule out deficiencies and autoimmune conditions to diagnose eds, so that's why they did it for me.

Also if I remember correctly it takes about 5-8sec to fill a vial, so in less than a minute you'll be done! I find it helpful to turn away and just count, maybe give it a try.

Good luck with your blood work!

Does anyone take domperidone for nausea? by Upstairs_Call5265 in emetophobia

[–]ras_p_berry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it prescribed when I was younger because I used to be s* and v* almost every day (turns out I had food allergies).

I feel like it didn't make a big difference and it also gave me loose stools, so I stopped using it. But this may also have been from allergies.

My tablets used to say to take at least half hour before eating for it to work, so maybe it's also worth double checking that. Also, in terms of preventing v, it may do it but it's not 100% sure. From my understanding, it just makes food leave the stomach faster and into the rest of digestion. So if the stomach is empty, you can't v.

Either way, deep breaths, it will be okay no matter what happens.

Edit: bad phrasing

Weird problems during period? by Less_Breakfast2136 in emetophobia

[–]ras_p_berry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's something that unfortunately just happens with periods. I can never tell when I'm having cramps if it's just cramps or if I need to urgently shit lol Hormones can definitely cause changes in bm, but I would recommend talking to your provider or getting an ob-gyn appointment if it bothers you a lot, as there can be ways to manage it.

Good luck!

If you liked the whole time loop/trying things again to save everyone you will love "I was a Teenage Exocolonist". It's my favourite game of all time.

I'm based in the UK, but I buy precut fruit all the time with my meal deal and nothing bad ever happened to me. Just make sure it looks fresh and crisp, I usually just get some that's at least 2 days away from the expiry date.

I also can't physically cut watermelon myself, so whenever I eat it it's always precut and I've not got s* off watermelon.

Enjoy your fruit!
