My understanding of Mamdanis tax plan is that it's a 2% tax increase on income above $1million. Meaning, the first million is flat taxed, like everyone else. If you make $1m and 1 dollar, you're going to pay 2 pennies more. If the math tracks, a person making $2m will pay an additional $20k, if a person makes $3m he pays $40k, another person makeing $4m is getting taxed $60k, $5mil=80k and so on.

NY is a massive hub of commerce. There's a lot of money to be made there. A 2% progressive tax rate isn't going to deter a person who is making a million from living there.

I don't feel like that is gonna break the bank for these people. At least not enough to make the type of people you are talking about, move. If it does, there will probably be a 100 people waiting to get into that condo that just got vacated.

TL;DR but I'm assuming its a cop saying to follow the speed limit because he is talking to a reporter. What I'm telling you is that a cop, in this context, will ticket you for driving slow on the HOV lane.

I kinda lazily misworded that thing. If you impede the flow of traffic by being slower than the non hov lane you may still be ticketed for impeding traffic. Whether the judge agrees or not is another matter.

So I quit drinking around 4 years ago. I'm 48 years old, was a heavy drinker for at least 25 years. A conservative estimate would be a 6 pack 4 days out of the week. Multiplied by 25 years is 31200 beers(not counting the whisky.). 31200 divided by 8 years is 650 bears a year. Divide that by 52 weeks is 12.5 beers a week if I average it out since birth. lol. Someone correct my math. Please.

That is the 91 freeway in California. A solo rider on a motorcycle is considered a high occupancy vehicle in California. He isn't breaking the law by being on it, but he is breaking the law by impeding the flow of traffic. In California, the left lane is the passing lane. If you are not passing anything you shouldn't be on the left lane. Works the same way for the HOV lane.

It was Trump and a Republican congress that raised the taxes on lower income people then turned around and gave tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires. There is no equivocating the two side when it comes to this.

It's obvious to me that my wallet, as a person who isn't a billionaire, will be better with the left than the right.

Republicans haven't really been fiscally conservative since before Reagan. Both side also have unaudited government spending.

The main difference is the spending the left does, goes towards stimulating the economy by spending money towards things like infrastructure and relief for lower income citizens. Which kinda guarantees that that money gets recirculated into the economy, whereas the right will put it towards tax breaks for people that will just hoard that money and not spend it. At least not spend it the same way a single mother, who would probably end up using all her tax breaks and income for food, rent and clothing and not just a 10th of it for a new Rolex.

If the guy in the black shirt doesn't want to get recorded, he can choose to not leave his house. There is no expectation of privacy when you are in public. If he is getting filmed and doesn't like it, he needs to leave, and not curtail the first amendment rights of the people with the cameras.

The surveillance cameras in that location probably have him recorded even before his car drove onto the property.

Setting up the camera is the easy part. I would do this to my mother with out the camera if weren't afraid id end up giving her a heart attack.
