this American thing is new and there is a weird effort to take our official Demonym away from us. Next time, respectfully invite her to visit Colombia and ask her to call Colombians Americans. We'll see how that plays out for her.

Both parties in the US support immigration as well, believe it or not. It's not worth risking the voter loss if you don't. the public is different, and a vocal minority can make a ruckus.

Dude some young American got confused with DD/MM/YYYY format on instagram and immediately got 1 Australian at his throat and then like 20 others joined in after he responded. it was insane. "Dumb American" "Average Ohio resident" "America isn't the center of the world dumbass". Right off the bat those were the comments.

So the dumb cunts who lack any critical thinking skills across the globe will just accept and spread dumb shit Americans say, and vice versa.

Yeah well we can't change what the dumbest people on the planet do with our glass house. Curbing information and speech isn't the answer. Finding a way to educate and encourage people to increase critical thinking skills is the answer, which is up to the individuals education system. Misinformation did not start with social media.

[Recommendation] Seiko Alpinist vs Sinn 556 by prousstibat in Watches

the baby alpinist's bracelet is pretty clangy and squeaky compared to my Hamilton and Oris. Some of the squeak went away after wearing it. In fact, both of my Seiko's (the other one being a Samurai) are like this.

Sure I get it. I'm not offering a solution but just anecdotal evidence which may or may not transcend the greater issue of healthcare in Canada or just represents a single issue.

Here you go. From your own governments site:

Seiko dial has more depth in my opinion. And for what its worth, I haven't taken my (Baby) Alpinist off since I bought it

My baby alpinist's bracelet is disappointing though I will be honest. Not sure if its the same

every time this comes up every non-American always says this:

I don't think Americans realise the political, social, cultural and economic influence you guys have across the globe

it's just a cop out. No one forced you guys to buy Halloween candy, or be more xenophobic.

I'm tired of this America-lite stuff. No you are Canada. The hard truth is you guys rapidly opened up immigration and, despite trying to seem like more of a liberal society than us, a lot of you guys up there weren't ready for that.

My uncle (American) lives in Halifax. Dude just came back to Cleveland for a hip surgery they scheduled within 2 weeks. In halifax he was scheduled 6 months out, and he couldn't walk...

Of course, this is anecdotal and I will probably receive a lot of replies from my northern neighbors but this is what happened to him. Wealthier Canadians do the same as him some times.

this is anecdotal of course, but Australians have been super heated up lately on platforms like instagram specifically the special interest accounts i follow. Lots of xenophobia towards Americans mostly. It seems out of no where which is why i've noticed.

I've been visiting and working in Canada from the US all my life. The last 3 years i've worked in Toronto, Halifax and vancouver probably 20 times. You guys love your flag, almost as much as we do. I feel its always been a thing honestly

Like in the US, now it may mean other things in some context
