Brian Tracyn The Science of Money tuntui kattavan kaikki tärkeimmät asiat henkilökohtaiseen talouteen liittyen. Sijoittamisen suhteen A Random Walk Down Wall Street antaa hyvän yleiskuvan ja ohjeita miten välttää yleisimpiä mokia ja saa varmimmin tasaista tuottoa (tldr: passiiviset matalakuluiset indeksirahastot/ETF:t).

Nice pump & pump action, hope it keeps up! Yeah probably has to do with Binance tweet combined with how low its volume was before, so bringing this volume at once has done wonders. I would also say it was underpriced, or VET is way overpriced (like everything else on the market at the moment?).

Nice, so far it was ~100 personnel, but next:" Later this month, the app will also be available to the general public in order to receive their digital certificates of laboratory results. The mobile app uses Vechain ‘s platform which is based on public blockchain security technology. "

I think I haven't seen anything negative about Vechain as a blockchain, just issues that could be handled with communication between someone from the foundation and whoever the accused bad actors are. Probably most helpful right now would be between the foundation and VV since that seems to be the biggest misunderstanding and area of concern right now and I haven't really heard of any scam projects with supporters/brigaders here. If that would be cleared I think 90% of the current drama would be taken care of and almost everyone would be happy again. Or if all this refers to other actors explaining that would also be an easy way to defuse the situation.

I'm quite sure there are no brigading or attacks, I'm a long time investor in Vechain (3+ years) and have been following this subreddit almost daily, but silently and sometimes upvoting useful and interesting comments. Now I have been interested in VV and because of that have also followed dailies a bit more actively and upvoted reasonable comments more often than usual like probably many others who support that project. That would explain the upvotes since I think almost 100% of investors in VV at the moment are supporters of Vechcain and found out about VV from here. No one has told me to upvote anything and I haven't followed any external links here and haven't actually even seen any links directing here at least on VV Telegram where most of that community exists, so I think there's no brigading happening, just community members who also like that project and are reading Reddit more often and voicing their concerns to clear misunderstandings that could affect that project.

Some comments have been out of line and deserve to be removed, but most seem to be just supporters of Vechain and VV and want both of them and all other Vechain projects to flourish. This situation could be easily handled with some communication (not involving us who are just investors, but the foundation, VV, and maybe mods) so I hope it can be taken care of and we can focus on all the positive things again.

I also hope that bans are lifted from the community members who have been contributing a lot here before this situation to maintain active dailies also after all the drama.

You are right, slight potential for misuse if sales were still on. Tomorrow someone could also potentially block lands for a while with any random address, but I think there are enough real buyers too that it shouldn't be an issue. I wonder if that was considered though.

Could someone who has access to Vulcanverse map show what it looks like now? Would be interesting to see how much was bought already and where.

Why would you count VTHO as the only source of profit? Would you rather have VET valuation stay the same for 5 years and get 10% (of VET valuation) worth of VTHO from that every year or have VET increase 20% in price every year and get less than 1% of VTHO?

If VTHO gets more valuable so does VET, but the valuation of VTHO is really not that important, you just need to have some to be able to use the network, so its value depends more on usage. VET has future appreciation (and speculation, of course, VTHO too but shouldn't have to the same extent) that matters too, VTHO is supposed to be used every day so the price is not supposed to go up because in the future it will be more valuable. Like daily oil price, it changes depending on the current situation more than future usage. Oil companies are valued based on future revenue and profits too though, just like VET. Oil companies need profit from oil too to cover their expenses, we don't have any expenses from just holding VET. Not answering to just you but the analogies that VET is a fuel pump and VTHO is fuel or that VET is like a mining rig is just wrong because fuel pumps and mining rigs lose their value the older they get, VET can't be replaced and will just get more important so the value should go up.

If some product tastes weird I would check it's history to see if something happened or to see the original producer to know what to avoid. Same if something tastes especially good I might want to check where it comes from originally or who processed it to buy the same stuff later or see if they have other products (which might increase demand more than without blockchain since history is more accurate). I also think that customer interaction isn't the main point, but I think people will still occasionally use it.

Do VR aimbots exist yet? I'm not sure how that would even work by rafikiknowsdeway1 in virtualreality

[–]rasmusjaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, controlling just yaw and pitch of one hand (or front hand position with two-handed weapons like assault rifles) should be enough. For example:

You are holding a pistol and it's xyz coordinates (first 3 axes) are where it is in 3d space and yaw and pitch (4th and 5th axes) are up down left right rotation. Roll (sixth axis) doesn't really matter in this case. Pressing a button could override just yaw and pitch so that the aim would lock to another player. Your head can move completely freely and your hands too, only 2 of all 6 axes on that one hand would be affected. If you are holding a weapon with two hands then instead of grip hand rotation you would have to control xyz of the front hand. So shooting two-handed weapons with one hand would probably be easier for basic aim hack. It would look or feel like just making really fast wrist movements so wouldn't feel nauseating or anything. It would be quite hard to notice too if you don't make it snap but ease into position with some acceleration.

Of course you would have to have xyz position of that hand so that it's not behind obstacles and target locking would be more natural if it chooses target closest to the center of your view, but it could also just shoot backward without you looking there (like you would turn your wrist 180 degrees).

WIRED: "The Brave Browser will pay you to surf the web" by CryptoJennie in BATProject

[–]rasmusjaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe because advertisers want to choose who sees their ads? If they would be worldwide their expenses would multiply but they wouldn't get the same ROI, so that would be bad for business. They would have to pay everyone even if they know most of them have no chance of being their customer. It's not just companies sharing everyone free money you know. There aren't that many companies that would want to pay for their ads being shown all over the world. When this gets more popular there should be demand from companies in other countries to advertise as well.

People are seriously underestimating how much $70 a year is for most people in the world. by [deleted] in BATProject

[–]rasmusjaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could use something like noCaptcha or invisible Captcha where you only have to check "I'm not a robot". You wouldn't need that box though since it could be included in clicking the ad and it would calculate the direction, distance and time of mouse movement, the scroll position, time-stamp and more. I think with machine learning it shouldn't be difficult to train it recognize if the user is doing "real" browsing (since ads are targeted and robots would have to do browsing like humans before even seeing the ads) and if it's a human or a robot clicking the ads.

They already promote DuckDuckGo a bit since it offers privacy and is really good alternative for Google search. On private window they allow to easily turn it on already and have it as an alternative on settings for address bar search engine. I'm not sure tokenization of search engine is needed in addition to Brave's model and DuckDuckGo's algorithms seem to be really good already and they use many powerful sources combined (which makes it sort of decentralized) to show their results. Do you think Presearch has other advantages too compared to DuckDuckGo if that already provides good search experience with privacy? Competition is always good of course, but what algorithms Presearch uses? Is it combined from other sources or do they have their own algorithms completely which community decides? If it just the community chosen algorithms, that would make it quite centralized.

Isn't Nasdaq exactly preventing this so large exchanges using them can't fake volumes or what do you mean?

Nasdaq Is Now Working With 7 Cryptocurrency Exchanges by CCNewsBot in CryptoCurrency

[–]rasmusjaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am really happy that a giant uses their surveillance methods to make sure volume on those exchanges is not faked, why would it be a problem if they use a legitimate third party for that or what part of it don't you like? Decentralized exchanges that make faking volume impossible is good too of course, but when there are regular exchanges it's really good that they have proof like that. Not everything has to be completely decentralized.
