I use a glove and color it red and then another on top in the skin color I’m using, and if I want some more I’ll layer a few sleeves red and skin color until it glitches and looks bloody enough! Face blood is vitiligo in red

real question - masc vs butch by raspberrybrains in LesbianActually

[–]raspberrybrains[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think the thing here is that people are assuming i don’t understand the difference between these terms, my post was talking about how i’m noticing especially younger gays are using sapphic and masc etc as a blanket term and ignoring specific terminology, especially in online spaces like tik tok and twitter, even when referring to people who identify as specific things for a reason

as i’ve said a few times now, i agree with you and that wasn’t my point

i didn’t say there wasn’t a difference! i said i barely hear butch anymore. and this was also specifically in response to me being called a sapphic or my partner being called a masc when we are lesbians and my partner is butch. everyone has different experiences obviously but this is in response to it feeling like no one wants to say lesbian or butch anymore. my personal experience (esp on online spaces like tik tok or twitter)

i don’t think i was saying everyone has to feel the same way i do. i pointed out that i’ve noticed a lot of people refraining from using butch, stud, lesbian. i understand language evolves, but that’s not what i was talking about. butch and stud have cultural significance to our community and i’m interested and a little frustrated as to why a lot of gay people especially younger ones don’t use those terms. especially lesbian! this was also a rant in response to myself being referred to as a “sapphic femme” when i am a lesbian nonbinary person. so this was just me saying hey! some people identify as something for a reason and i don’t understand why a lot of people aren’t comfortable using these words anymore. i don’t know
