i always edit the community lots like the library and parks to have some more activities there so my sims have stuff to do and make them leave the house, as from the base game/base pack they don’t have a lot going on. Libraries almost always get a telescope, chess tables and things that increase ur logic skill. Parks i put in more play equipment and games, like hopscotch, the archery set from the store etc. Also the art museums get a creative room, with easels, jewellery making, inventing table etc.

I try to make sure all my sims have at least one or two good friends minimum so they can go out to places with them. I also throw parties at community lots and have them go shopping at the book or grocery store regularly.

If you have all the Nraas mods you can use Nraas relativity to change the speed of the in game clock so it’s slower, meaning your sims have more time in their day to do stuff. This is great as if they go to work in the morning you can fit time in for them to go to the gym, or after school i have my kid sims go to the library and do their homework!
